I think Walking Dead is less of an emotional curb stomping than Grave of the Fireflies. Mostly because Walking Dead ends with SOME AMOUNT OF HOPE.

It's true. A grain of hope counts for a lot when you've been through hell.

I had to take breaks while I was watching Grave of the Fireflies. Sobbing breaks. I had burst blood vessels around my eyes afterward.

But I still think it's an amazing movie that people should suffer through at least once in their lives.
