What kind of pc works best and runs well with sims 3 and eventually 4? I have a macbook pro but it runs better but horribly slow on my old pc. I'm considering getting a new pc I just don't know what kind! :)

I can’t really think of an exact computer to recommend, but I can give you the specs of my own if that’s helpful? :)

I have a custom built computer (so it’s not a specific brand) which runs TS3 + all EPs/SPs almost perfectly on max graphics (except super water) with these specs: 

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium

CPU: Intel Core i5 processor (I think I have either a dual or quad core; I bought it a while back so I’m not 100% sure)

Graphics Card: GTX GeForce 550 Ti (not the most amazing on the market but it’s great with edge smoothing!)

RAM: 16GB (I think about a minimum of 4GB is recommended to run the game, but I’d definitely get at least 8GB if you want it to run properly - RAM is VERY important!!!)

Hard Drive: 2 terabytes (you won't need quite this much, but it helps to have a lot of space for save files etc!)

If you want the game to run smoothly I’d recommend at the very least a computer with similar specs to my own - especially since TS4 is probably going to be even more demanding on your computer! But bear in mind that TS3 is quite an unstable game, so don’t worry if you can’t get it to run perfectly. Very few people can!
