I keep getting called soft in tags of my posts about this subject but I really do feel like sports fans should be beholden to the same behavior expectations of everyone else in society. I get contextual appropriateness but watching people play a sport shouldn't be an open gate to losing all sense of damn manners. imo.

my dad and stepmom got a divorce recently. very happy for them. my dad is, from what i understand, a very bad husband, and they're both doing much better apart. anyway my stepmom recently discovered her attraction to women during that divorce process (hooray!) and my mom-mom has been openly queer since before i was born. all of this led to a lot of passing remarks about both of them to a friend which led to this exchange:

"yeah both of my moms think i shouldn't be alone with him again"

"right. i've been meaning to ask you, what was it like to grow up with lesbian moms?"

"oh uhh so i do have two moms and they are both queer but they do NOT like each other"

"did they get divorced?”

"yeah both from my dad"

"oh. hm."
