Misadventures
Ok. Here’s the deal. I come from a family of 7. My large family is the one in our area that if a party has leftovers that nobody there will be able to consume fast enough, you bring it to us. It will be consumed. We will also get outside help from other places occasionally because both my mother and father aren’t able to work. Point is, an above average amount of our food comes from sources which we didn’t purchase. We got another batch of stuff from I don’t know where because I was asleep, but with it all came a couple protein bars. It’s health food so I’m not expecting much from this to begin with, but I’ve been trying to have a more protein centered diet so I have one. BIG MISTAKE!!! I’m so glad we had some left over pizza in the fridge. (with this batch of food, we also got a bunch of cheese pizza) My stomach feels sick after that dense brick of a bar. At first it’s all, “huh. This doesn’t taste too bad”. but then a few bites in, the flavor has changed as it continues to sit in your mouth. I hand the last couple bites to my father simply saying that it’s not as pleasant any more. He also eats it. We are both in the same boat, and both of us feel horridly sick. If some insane person considers those protein bars FOOD, you need to actually eat something for once in your life. That fake AF chocolate flavor just STICKS in your mouth. GLAGH! If anybody who is the head of a health food brand is reading this, let me tell you something. My expectations are already very low in terms of flavor because I understand having to make sacrifices for your health. With this being the case, HOW, would you mind telling me, do you find a way to FAIL to meet ALL expectations. IT’S NOT THAT HIGH OF A BAR TO HIT. JUST DON’T TASTE INEDIBLE AND DON’T MAKE ME FEEL SICK. How do you STILL fail to meet such simple requirements for what I put in my body?
