Playing House: New Families and New Rulers in Lucan’s Bellum Civile, Harriet Fertik, 2019
MICHONNE AND RICK.
HANGING OUT ON THE COUCH. UNWINDING AFTER A DAY OF SAVING EVERYONE’S ASSES. LOOKING AT A VIDEO OF JUDITH. JUST. HANGING. OUT. AFTER. A. ROUGH. DAY.
I keep imagining a BIGFLO Hogwarts AU thanks to Obliviate. High Top is terrible at Potions (only because he doesn't like reading the textbook). He throws things together and hopes they don't explode. Ron stays very far away from him in that class. Yuseong is great with instructions in Potions and Care of Magical Creatures. HighTop is nervous around unicorns, but perfectly okay with hippogriffs and thestrals. Ron's good with Divination. Z-UK's good in Charms. Jungkyun's best in transfiguration.
Okay, confession here, I hadn’t listened to that song before you mentioned, or even saw the music video, and--
Yes.
OHHHHHHHHH.
OHHHHHHHH.
Yes...she had a gentle voice.
"Yeah...she did...she..."
She loved machines. Every weekend, she would always look forward to spending time with her. Watching her put all those pieces together. Everything seemed to have a place. It all interlocked; it all fit perfectly. She loved watching her build things...
"Chell...remember, if something can think and feel, then it's alive." She smiled and teasingly poked her in the ribs. "Just because someone isn't made of squishy stuff like we are, doesn't mean they're not a person."
"Okay, mommy!"
Mommy.
"...she was my mother..."
