she had a really good childhood. she was the only child of compassionate, loving parents, lived in a nice house, attended good schools where she was fairly popular and had a close-knit group of friends, you know the drill. basically the only drawback was that she was slightly sheltered. then when she was in college both her parents died in a car crash, and basically she freaked the fuck out cause she was left alone in the world (she had no extended family), somehow managed to go through her senior year and got her degree in nursing, but she hit a major low both financially and mentally. hence her marriage with ed - he was a sort of a knight in a shining armor at the time, so she rushed into it seeking security.
