So.... I watched Pokemon The Origin again, and saw the part where Red identifies the ghost as Cubone's mother.

Now I know why there's a ghost on the staircase before you get to Team Rocket. When I played the games, I always wondered why the ghost was there at that staircase... At first I was thinking the ghost was under Team Rocket's control, or that it didn't want us to get to Team Rocket...

But then I watched Pokemon The Origin and realized that... 

The ghost of Cubone's mother was there to protect us from Team Rocket. She was trying to warn us about the dangers from there on, and she tried to keep us away from them after they killed her and nearly killed her son as well...

Oh my gosh. 

She died, trying to protect her son from Team Rocket...

And now, she was trying to protect us...

  Rest in Peace, Cubone's mother.

You will never be forgotten. <3
