As far as how Mr. Oreo has been doing, he is still chilling in the hospital tank. Not really losing any more finnage but the infection is still present. He is a good boy. Since I had to stop by the Ark yesterday I talked to John about how Oreo hasn't really responded to the treatments I typically use for this type of thing. He went on about how once he went through the same issue with a fish. He eventually had a guy do a scrape for a microscope. It had parasites! So John suggested a different antibiotic (minocycline) along w/ a formalin/malachite combo in tandem. It could very well be parasites! Ive been using nitrofurazone and malachite. I have done two full rounds so far so its safe to go on to a new medicine.
