Haaaa hahaha ...no wonder people get pissed when I'm sick

I was going through all the stuff in my phone and found this note I wrote for the last film I worked on. I was really, really sick. This is me trying to explain my job to someone else so they can do it.

Everything is Betty and Young Chris today, both have wardrobe with them so y'all should be fine. Young Chris wore and orange and black striped polo when they found out about Art dying so best not to use that one at all.

Props: Purple piggy bank, glasses, possibly the monkey since Chris is upset.

Scene 66 has both EXT and INT shots in THE SAME WARDROBE. It would be wardrobe from the day Chris stepped on the glass. Solid blue polo, jeans, no shoes (obviously), cuffs were turned up twice.

Filling out the Script Supervisor daily report: I cannot stress how important this is to your editor.

Take (what take we're on) You'll see a long notation box, on Take 1 put a brief description of the scene. Like Chris sees dead father in heaven. On takes after that ...any time the camera is moved it's a new take on the same scene. So Take 1, description ...Take 2 (same shot, had to do it over), Take 2A moved in for a close up of Tiff. You'll have to tell your slate the scene and take so keep track. On 1A, 1B etc, note things like flubbed lines, outtakes, Abe killed Ian ...that sort of thing.

Snd (good or bad) Ask Abe and if he says 'Yep, good on sound' put a checkmark.

Print: N/A Used for film not digital. Good place to put camera marks (Usually we work with Cameras A, B, and C ...CM means Common Mark or all the cameras could see the slate at the same time for that mark, otherwise, list each separately)

Time: For God's sake make sure you have a watch and sync it with the main camera. When you mark slate, not the time hours, minutes and seconds. 10:32:12

Lens: Only if they change lenses in the middle of the scene. Otherwise note the roll, ask Sean what roll they are on. Make sure you note if they change rolls.

So: Scene 121. Take 1. Snd Good ABC - CM Time 08:25:12 Roll 12 Art dies

Scene 121A. Good ABC - CM 08:45:16 12 Close up on Art

121B No ABC CM 09:12:12 OTS Betty

and so on.

It's really not as hard as it sounds.

It was the last line that made me start laughing. Yeah, that explanation wasn't hard at all. LOL. No woder they freaked out that day. LOL. I should sleep.
