You know, I feel like Deltarune's Weird Route does a hell of a better job making you feel the weight of your actions compared to Undertale's No Mercy Route, and I think it's because of the Main Character's agency.
In Undertale, we barely see any sort of Agency from Frisk save for 2 key moments: Telling Asriel their name in the True Pacifist route and the Second Slash at sans in the No Mercy Route. This sort of lack of agency made it easy for players to fall into the idea that Frisk was a Blank Slate for us and not their own person, and also made it easier for some people to shift blame onto Chara at the end of the NM Route, since they tell us that we were never in control (Of our own urges) just before killing us.
In Deltarune, however, this is not the case: We see multiple moments of Kris having their own agency throughout the 4 chapters, from jumping in front of Susie to block Spade King's attacks to pulling their possessed soul out of their body to go do their own thing like eat a whole ass pie or summon a Dark Fountain. Kris has an actual life we're intervening on at that moment, and that what makes the Weird Route all the more worse: We are quite literally walking in on that life and turning it into an absolute horror show.
All this in an attempt to subvert a prophecy we find out later to have just followed correctly in a worse case scenario.
Please, I just want Side Order to release now instead of 2 and a half weeks. I need to see 4 & 8 again!

I just had the power go out for a few seconds and then heard a transformer across the street blow up. Power's back, but now I have to go recollect a power up in my game.
Two more days till they rerelease Poker Night.
Finally updated my computer system after roughly 6 years. Now I can play the most up-to-date games for the next 3-5 years
