'Princess' for the Day
She could not believe the nerve he had. It had started innocently enough, with Adrien referring to her as his princess as a joke. Joel had laughed, and then seemingly vanished. She wouldn’t see what he was laughing about for another week, when (upon waking up) she found that someone had ‘helpfully’ replaced all her normal sensible clothing with elegant dresses…fit for a queen, you might say.
But no, he’d made it even worse for her by dragging Marinette into this. For the first time in forever, she had more than basic makeup as she became her doll for the next hour and forty-five minutes. When the heroine had fully finished, Lucy looked like something out of a storybook. Joel had the audacity to then place a fucking tiara on her head, 'bowing’ before the 'queen’ and escorting her through the city to 'ensure she stayed safe’. More than likely it was to make sure she continued the joke they’d started.
But she’d somehow managed to lose him, only to sense a very nearby spike of energy–the energy that came from de-transforming, and not a familiar one. She turned the corner, bumping into a taller boy. “Oh…my apologies, sir,” she said in English, not immediately sure what language to speak and praying that her accent was still comprehensible.
