request: Lou is happy to see that her gf get along well with Debbie until she notices that they’re kind of always together, bonding over the fact that both of them did prison & watch ointb to compare and everything
Lou worries about how Debbie reacts to people in her life, because she’s always been protective and therefore suspicious
So the first thing she mentions when introducing you is that you had been to prison as well, to ease the tension
Lou had met you while Debbie was still in jail, and you immediately ask her about her experience, and you both seem to get along right away
Debbie stays at Lou’s for a while after getting out because she has no money for her own place yet, and so you end up spending a lot of time with her when you come over
“Hey, babe, how long have you been here?” when Lou gets home one time after work to she see you had come over out of the blue and was watching Orange is the New Black with Debbie on the couch
Lou catches the two of you often making inside jokes, comparing prison notes “Ugh your cell sounds so much nicer than mine..” “You guys had good food for lunch? Unbelievable..” etc.
She trusts Debbie not to make a move, but she’s scared that somehow you’ll grow bored of her (as if) now that you had someone who knew what your experience was like
“Well maybe I should get arrested too, and maybe then you’ll actually pay me some attention,” she snaps one time, after reaching a breaking point. It makes Debbie chuckle because she knows how jealous and riled up Lou can be, but secretly is still a softie. You, however, are startled by it
Debbie corners Lou, tells her to stop being jealous, that she’d never take you from her like that, and reminds her just how hard it is to find anyone to relate to after spending time in prison
Lou agrees and relents, but is too proud and ashamed to face you about it herself
“Wanna come watch an episode with me?” you shyly ask her one evening. Lou asks if Debbie’s coming too, bristling, but when you shake your head, she softens up
A wonderful night of make-up sex, apologies and prison tv commences
