link click is about two guys running a photo studio that can jump back in time through photos - a client will come to them with a photo and a request, and they'll use their powers to enter the photo and inhabit the photographer's body for a period of time to grant it. season 1 is largely episodic with a lot of short stories: helping an office worker expose corruption in her workplace, absolving someone's regrets from a childhood sports game, solving a kidnapping from years past, etc., and they always hit hard emotionally.

but! there is also an overarching mystery that slowly builds over the season, and a constant struggle not to alter the past that goes some really cool places.

season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off, but it's more of a thriller and ditches the episodic format - it's a lot more fast-paced and plot driven. can't say much without giving away s1 :3c

basically uhh, really strong emotional beats, intriguing mystery with cool time shenanigans, slick action sequences, banger music:

fair warning that it does get into some pretty heavy topics (especially its depiction of domestic abuse in s2)
