Honestly it’s actually kinda impressive how out of character people can write Janet Drake given that she has less than 30 comic appearances.
#she is given like two character traits & one of them is worrying about Tim but people have decided she does not care abt him. ok#the first scene we ever see of her is her going ‘I don’t want Tim to be scared’! she loves him she just knows nothing abt how to parent#idk i understand why people don’t know/care about her characterization.#but also it’s frustrating bc it’s one of the few things we DO know about her#and it circles back to people assuming that since she neglected Tim she must therefore not care about him. which is not true!#neglectful parents can still have strong emotional attachment to their kids & also be neglectful#like those things don’t actually cancel each other out they often exist simultaneously & that seems to be the case for the drakes#janet drake#heroesriseandfall#it IS impressive bc you’d think since she barely has a character then fanon could have at it but instead they get her 1 canon trait wrong……#ok rant over!#lol
