"Don't you remember?" - Decandy AU
Send “Don’t you remember?” for my muse’s reaction to waking up in hospital with no memory of your muse, themselves or their life
The first thing he heard when he slowly awakened was-… Everything. Immediately, he jolted awake, gasping for breaths that he didn’t know he didn’t need. Upon fully reaching consciousness he let out a startled yelp, suddenly scrambling to get out of the confines that held him. Little did he know, it was only a thin hospital blanket, and so he quickly found himself falling to the tiled ground and landing with a painful thump.
Or at least, a thump that should have been painful. Instead, he felt nothing, and suddenly another almost scared noise left his throat. He didn’t know who he was, where he was, or what was happening with his vision and hearing. Everything was so bright, loud, and crowded.
He curled into a ball on the floor, making no attempt to move when some employees of the hospital rushed in to help him back in to bed and attempt to talk to him. They asked him questions, but every voice simply added to the deafening noise he heard within his mind. He didn’t respond to any of them; instead simply curling into himself tighter and easily resisting the touch and actions of the nurses in the room.
One of the nurses said a name - or something like it - and suddenly he found himself crying. The tears streamed down his cheeks and sobs wracked his form. He didn’t know why he was crying. There was a sense of loneliness that shouldn’t have been possible with all the voices in his head, and a longing for someone he didn’t know the identity of. All he knew is only they would be able to calm him down, as they had before. As to how he knew that, he was clueless.
As he cried and curled into himself tighter, random things around the room exploded with loud pops.
