Oh god.Oh god, oh good god–The internal mantra was all they could manage, as fingers and palms of hands- Oh gods, was that his tongue?!A sound, somewhere between a squeak and a chocked moan left them. They were shaking, unable to keep from twitching and moving into every single little touch–Fingers curled into blankets, wrists turning and twisting the sheets in desperation as pleasure ran through them but just did not crest, Tom being too teasing with his slowness that damn well had the younger of the two of them aching for more.Pleas were whispered for him to just stop, to get the point and stop torturing them like this. But he just continued on his merry way with a damn grin and–Oh god.

Grumbling, arms over their chest, they looked much like a disgruntled child as the older man fixed the mess they called their hair. Not that he was succeeding by much, the locks no longer as short as they had been when they had first met.“I swear to all the gods, old man, if you keep fuckin’ with it and it gets frizzy I’m goin’ to whoop your ass. Don’t test me.” If it was not for the almost fond look on their face as fingers grazed against their scalp and had their head tilting into the touch, one could have thought Riley was incredibly serious.

Well, they had warned Tex. Of course the bastard had not listened. He rarely did. The result was tackling and grappling, breathless laughs, and tickling that had them both on the floor. Damn that man.

☆  Getting them something they need before they ask for it.

Target practice was the time of day they most looked forward to. A time to unwind without hurting someone. Where focus was expected, and the way their lips curled with satisfaction and rage was not uncommon. From the bottom of their heart, they imagined their father in every target; here where it was safe to unload a clip without consequences, and every moving, firing, target they cut down when in a fight. Fuck him. Fuck him, fuck him, fuckhimfuckhimfuckingdieyoubastard–Their gun clicked. Click, click, click. The red haze faded from the edges of their vision, a sigh leaving them as they reached for another clip.One was brought into his field of vision, and brown eyes glanced up at who handed it to him. The cold, hard, stony look melted from their face and was replaced with something soft as they took the fresh clip from Tex.“Thank you…”

❥  Running your hand over their arm and gently pulling them close.

He did not need to pull them closer; the younger of the two already leaning close and pressing their forehead against his chest. They breathed in heavily, exhaled shakily. The gentle touches served to calm them, ground them, settle them down. Gods, what would they do without him? He was their rock, and as much as it worried them that they were violent waves eroding said rock, he could not have imagined being this stable again without him.

Gasps, tiny and muffled only by sheer willpower, escaped their throat; head tilting to the side and allowing him more room to work his magic. Fingers curled into his long hair, twisting slightly with each shudder that ran through their body.“F-fuck–” Knees knocked together, eyes fluttering closed, the nips enough to drive them crazy just on their own; the gentle, caring, way they were delivered were just the icing on the cake at this point.

Eyes drifted over the naked body bathed in hot water in steam, tracing over the light lines on his back from over eager nails. Affection, plain and simple and something they thought they were no longer fully capable of, swelled in their chest. Riley could get use to this, seeing him every morning and sharing meals and showers on the regular… They hoped the universe was kind enough to at least give them that, at least for awhile.

The moment he realized that there was someone else in the library it was already too late to escape the awkwardness of the situation. Fresh warm blood, it was the only thing that could make him forget about everything. Best taste ever. Sensations, impossible to describe. Renewal of each cell of his body. However, this time it wasn’t a hunt. The man pissed him off, pushed the wrong buttons. Really, he should know better, but he didn’t and got… what he got. Lips, chin and hands covered in dark thickening liquid, the nameless raised his head and looked at the incomer. Red handed, nothing to say. “I wasn’t going to kill him, he shot me first.” His left shoulder burned where the shotgun shot tore away the piece of his flesh, the sleeves of his shirt and jacket in that spot were ruined and soaked with his own blood. Soon, he knew, the wound was going to heal and vanish like it never was there, but it was. But what pushed him over the edge wasn’t the attack, it was what the human told him and who he talked about. He sat there, on the floor, next to the corpse, didn’t try to run or lash at the other. He wasn’t angry anymore and didn’t want to leave more dead bodies, so he just waited for the new character to say or do something.

Books hit the floor, heavy thuds on wood, when fingers momentarily lost their grip on ancient leather bindings from the sheer surprise and shock of the scene they had walked into. The noise was not enough to shake them from the state they were in, eyes wide and one of their now free hands raising to cover their nose; the smell of copper strong enough to make their stomach roll hard and lurch, throat spasming with the urge to gag that they barely were able to fight back against.

When he spoke, that was when they were able to pull themself together once again, hand lowering and spine straightening out. They were silent, eyes still fixed on the man and the body, as they slowly kneeled to collect the tomes they had dropped; relatively useless for the moment with their buyer’s throat torn out and blood spilled all over the stranger and everything else. 

What worried them was not the lack of a sell, though it would later when they were digging into the large jar at the back of their RV looking for enough change to pay for gas, food, and cigarettes. No, what worried them was the distinct lack of knowing; none of the, what they suspected was close to, hundred of sigils etched into their skin burned. 

They breathed in deeply, despite the way it made the smell of blood stronger and renewed the urge to lose their lunch, and skirted around the edge of the room. Riley’s eyes darted over the dead man’s belongings, hesitantly leaving the stranger for the moment. “U-understandable then. He was always a trigger happy kinda g-guy.” At least, that was what they figured; they were not horribly well acquainted, despite the business they conducted, but he did give that faint impression he did not have any scruples about shooting anyone first and asking questions later. If that was what happened here.

Some things were pocketed, small knick-knacks and such most people would just pass over, but held value amongst some of Riley’s other clients. The man was dead, he would not be needing them anymore. “Just, uh, don’t mind me. I’ll be out of the way i-in a few moments.”

Riley had to look away after a moment, eyes darting to the ground in an effort to compose themself. They loved his eyes; looking too long at them would mean more embarrassment on their end. “I’ve been better, but I really can’t complain.” Because, if they did, they would not stop complaining. Blessed and Lucifer were in cahoots together, and that always meant trouble for them. Hell was... well, hell. They were over worked, trying to manage everything and everyone... life was hard right now, but they were trucking along.

Jasper couldn’t help the expression that crossed his face for a brief for a second. He smirked after a little moment but said nothing else, stepping closer and nuzzling his face against the other’s chest and closing his green hues. Just letting everything be quiet if just for a minute. He felt himself physically relax for what seemed like the first time in weeks. Maybe it was a good thing he had run into Abyss.
