Okikiba's notes on the new Squad 1

Okikiba Genshiro is the other lieutenant of Squad 1, along with Nanao. And they both work for the new head captain Kyoraku. It is now time to find out what Okikiba thinks of his new squad. Because he's been keeping careful notes, comparing the new squad to the old!
Both Kyoraku and Yamamoto nap a lot.
Kyoraku is more often drunk when he naps, though.
Kyoraku sleeps with his hat over his years. Yamamoto used to sleep with his beard over his eyes.
Connection between greatness and naps and/or covering one's eyes?
Lieutenant Ise reminds me of Lieutenant Sasakibe: hard-working, methodical, responsible...
Ise yells at her captain more than Sasakibe did.
Kyoraku probably needs it more, though.
Yamamoto used to have tea parties. Kyoraku took the squad drinking.
For Sasakibe, "tea" was his thing. For Ise, it is "books."
Both Sasakibe and Ise get highly offended if you don't want to try their hobby.
It is good that Ise's hobby will not cause the barracks to explode. Probably.
It feels very strange to serve a man with no beard and no mustache (permanent five o'clock shadow doesn't count).
Does this mean I now have the squad's most magnificent mustache?

Working for a guy who shaves = not so bad.
I think I also have the most interesting hair in the squad, thanks to my dark steak.
The "joint lieutenant" thing seems to be all the rage now. Squad 9 is doing it too, I hear.
It is not exactly the way I expected to be promoted to lieutenant.
To be fair, I didn't think I ever *would* get promoted because Sasakibe didn't seem like the sort to get himself killed. Because he never fought.
Ise doesn't fight either.
Connection between being a Squad 1 lieutenant and a lack of fighting?
Kyoraku has never asked me rub him with a dry towel. That is good. Yamamoto used to do that.
Yamamoto loved to show off his chest (he had a very nice chest). Kyoraku on the other hand never removes his kimono.
There is a squad rumor that he showers in it so that he doesn't have to wash it.
I fear that this rumor is true.
Captain Ukitake is sure around a lot.
I heard that he and Kyoraku are dating. I also heard that Kyoraku and Nanao are dating.
There are a lot of rumors.
Are there rumors about me dating anyone?
Ukitake is always giving me candy because I am a "Shiro." I don't know what that means.
