Ask the dancestors panel

Izumicon 2017 me and my lovely friend will be hosting an ask the dancestors panel. Right now we have these spots open: Latula Aranea Horrus Meenah Currently, the panel is at 1pm, Friday(of the convention), panel 1: room 16-18. We'd be very happy if you attended. There will be chances to win candy, faygo, and a few surprise hand made mystery gifts. Audience participation will be how you win such things. But don't worry it's all fun and games. 4/13 2015 OKLASTUCK MEETUP

Time for the 4/11 Meetup for 2015!

Since 4/13 is on a Monday this year, the meetup will be on Saturday 4/11! There’s been a few people saying they’re excited for this and I’m super duper excited for this year. I haven’t seen so many of you in so long I want to see you guys!!

What we’re doing: This is a Potluck and a photoshoot. I know everyone always likes taking pictures when they come to meetups, so we’ll definitely be open for that! I was also thinking a potluck so everyone can bring all kinds of food and stuff to munch on. I’ll probably be bringing cookies. If you have something specific you want to bring, please do. If you can’t really bring food, that’s okay too! There’s plenty of things you can pitch in, like cups or ice or plates or something. Or you can bring soda. If you really can’t bring anything at all we also totally understand. You are not obligated to bring something in order to attend.

Where: Wiggly Field Del City, OK 73115 (Also as the Wiggly Field Dog Park) We’ll be in Del City this year. I was going to do a different park but from past experience, this park in the area we were looking at that is one we aren't going to be messed with and people won’t complain about us ‘disturbing the peace.’ It’s really secluded and a lot less people go to this area. Plus it is also really good for cosplay photos. As a little note, it can be a little confusing to get back there, so make sure to check it out on Google Maps or the facebook page ahead of time to make sure of where you’re going. If you get lost, ask for my number and I’ll guide you to where you need to be.

Time: 2:00 PM till 6:00 PM. If you’re going to be late, don’t worry about it. We’ll likely be there for a while. And if people want to stay later, we can do that too!

Now, some Basic Guidelines for the Meet:

0) Follow the general rules of the park.

1) Please pick up your trash and make sure to not just leave it sitting out for someone else to clean up.

2) Be respectful to other patrons of the park. Not everyone will be there for the meetup and if they ask questions, just politely answer what we’re doing. If they try harassing us, just politely ignore them and go on with what you were doing. 

3) Be respectful to the other people at the meetup and leave the drama at home. If there is someone you don’t agree with or get along with, just be civil and stay away from one another. If they try to goad you into an altercation, come find me and we can deal with problems accordingly. Otherwise, be civil and turn the other cheek.

4) If someone doesn't want their pictures taken, don’t harass them for photos. There are a lot of shy people who are scared and nervous and don’t know what to say. Just be polite and ask. If they say no, just move along.

5) Painting is welcome, just make sure to seal it please! We don’t want cosplay pieces ruined from unsealed paint. :( That being said, you’re not expected to paint either. You can come however you please, you don’t even have to cosplay if you don’t really want to. If you want to come chill with us in street clothes or casual closet cosplay, be my guest! 

6) Of course, no weapons or big props for safety measures. Horns are totally okay for this meet, just be careful, we don't want anything breaking or getting snagged on a branch. You can bring stuff to mess around with, but if you start harassing people with your prop or item, we will ask you to put it in your car. We do not want anyone getting hurt.

So, 4/13 is coming up~!

And the fiancee and I haven't gotten to see anyone in quite some time now, nor have we gotten to cosplay much Homestuck in all this time, so why not have a meetup to celebrate 4/13 as per tradition?

Since 4/13 is a Monday, the ideal date would probably be 4/11 or 4/12 depending on when people are free and wanting to come. Now the only thing is where do we want to have this at? I live in the Oklahoma City/Midwest City area and I know there a lot of people this way, in Edmond, and down in Moore and Norman. I want some feedback on this so feel free to message me on here, on Facebook, or on Skype. Or if you like, shoot me a message and I'll give you my phone number if you'd like to text me. I know some people have my number!
