How do you think uncle Joshy, charlatan uncle Joshy felt when Amber actually developed psychic powers? Like I’m just relistening rn and that surely must have been an insane world breaking moment for him!? Going from kind of scamming people and fucking around at the end of the world with that doomsday mindset to one of his pupils actually developing the sort of power he’d been pretending to have for months.

Actually, on that note how do you think it was for Amber to suddenly become the only person with the ability to fight the blinksharks but with a mentor figure who couldn’t actually even help her?

Yes, Amber has every right to be upset that Devo was rude to Joshy. But I still think she's definitely in the wrong here. Devo's baseline of emotions is being constantly high-strung, having spent months with him at this point, she knows this. Devo himself had acknowledged this and is actually trying to work on this. But when he comes back from an adventure where he came face to face with someone spouting the ideology that the world they live in is done for and the thought of salvaging should be abandoned, only to come home and hear that his MOTHER is dead, I think it's worth cutting him some slack. Because friendly reminder, the last arc and this one have all happened within a 24 hour period. And whether or not she was a good mother or not, Guidance was certainly a mother to Devo. So forgive me if I think Amber, the supposedly older, wiser and more mature member of the party, is wrong for absolutely laying into Devo for *checks notes* being snarky to her old friend.

The way that Griffin was vehemently angry when Clint started doing the Mint Clackeroy bit makes me think that 'Old Joshy and Mint had some feud going on that not even death would Joshy ever forget and forgive
