oooh tbh @maybeanartist02 i’m not nearly up to date on wtnc, so i won’t be remotely detailed about setting and backstory as it may no longer fit, but i’ve got

theodore kratochvil: bookish, paranoid, dry-humored, and disorganized to the point of hilarity. distrustful of everyone and everything and criminally unable to let his guard down 

and 

nora penke, his polar opposite: “innocent until proven guilty,” shy but networks with everyone constantly because she believes it’s the best way to do her job, relatively oblivious to subtle humor but quick to laugh anyway. trusts too easily but because of that is never surprised when she’s betrayed; has 28768372 contingency plans in place for everything

13: What would your character die for?

Nora: her family, equality and/or justice, some Gotdamn peace and quiet

Kezia: his friends (who are also his family), his lover (let me be clear that doesn’t refer to the multitudes of randos he’s taken to  bed), not really a whole lot else since self-preservation is kind of his whole thing as a chaotic neutral and the only thing that disrupts that is how deeply he cares for his people

14: What is the cutest thing your character has ever done?

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PICK? I am their parent. Everything they do is cute. The official answer here is “that thing when they were alive from the day of their birth to the time of death,” but I’ll put some cute stuff here still because I love them.

Nora: frequently curls up with books in small spaces and falls asleep in them only to be found like that later, sniffs aforementioned books before she reads them, writes letters to people that she never sends

Kezia: is barefoot absolutely any time it’s appropriate and there’s no risk of injury, squirrels away snacks in weird places just in case, cheers himself up when he’s feeling down by getting himself all dressed up and extra hot then walking around the block and counting the number of people who stare (bonus points if they trail off talking at the same time, elbow a friend, or go literally slackjawed)

Kezia

Kezia’s very... well-rounded when it comes to flirting. It usually only takes him a few attempts to figure out the best approach for flirting with a given person. Left to his own devices, he’s very suave and poised- smooth compliments, meaningful eye contact, smiling like he’s sharing a secret, and the occasional wink or bitten lip. 

Charlotte Rose

Charlotte’s known for being all confidence. Around a girl she likes, though, it takes on a new dimension. She goes straight for the competence and the upper hand- she takes a similar approach to Kezia, but more dramatic, because the point is to completely fluster the object of her affections. A lot of smoldering and smirking and innuendo and pick-up lines, all in the name of sweeping a pretty girl off her feet. Also, a lot of toying with her hair, hence the gif. (I also picked the gif because, well, Megan Fox.)

E. H. Prince

E.H. doesn’t usually like people or flirt even for fun- when they want something from someone, they’re more likely to resort to intimidation. (What a weenie.) So when they actually like someone, they’re pretty much at a loss. All they know how to do is be a bit of a show-off. It ends up sort of Pavlovian- whatever they do that seems to get the best reaction, they do even more and even harder, just in case it happens to impress the object of their affections.

Theo

Theo doesn’t even flirt. He just gets flirted with and has no idea how to respond. Poor baby. Anything close to flirting from him would just be a lot of blushing and averting his eyes and saying the same word three times without finishing the sentence.

Nora

Nora learned all her flirting from novels and television. She can seem competent at it if no one challenges her too much, but it’s pretty textbook- pickup lines and compliments and casual physical contact. She gets overwhelmed with it all pretty quickly, so she can only do it for a bit before she basically has to leave- it would take a lot of acclimation and comfort with someone before she wouldn’t have to go.

Sebastian

Seb has zero ability to flirt traditionally and doesn’t really see the need to. He doesn’t have a calculating bone in his body, for flirting or for anything else. He’s totally upfront and genuine, which alternately puts people at ease and a little at awe or totally freaks them out. If he likes someone or thinks they’re pretty, he’ll tell them flat out as he thinks it, and sees nothing wrong with that.

I am the actual worst at titles. Literally the worst. So I used a generator and rerolled until it made me laugh for each of them.

1: What is your character's biggest fear?

Nora: pretty typical: the deaths of friends or family, and her own perceived insignificance- the idea of her life and choices being ultimately forgotten and useless.

Kezia: i was asked this recently (which you know, rhae) and i still don’t know for sure. but i do know that it terrifies him to be helpless- for there to be absolutely no way for him to do anything to help/change something. he’s really big on having control of himself and his fate.

2: What is your character's favorite memory?

Nora: the many days spent with her father in his study, poring over his maps with him, spreading them over the table and making up heroic adventure stories about the different places he had been- especially the ones where it was just the two of them, as much as she loves her siblings.

Kezia: undoubtedly something mundane and metaphorically faded in his head from age- it’s almost certainly one of the many occasions as a kid when he looked at his friends laughing because of a joke he made and was just struck by how happy he was, even if they were struggling in other ways, just because he had a family. he’s such a nerd

3: What is your character's least favorite memory?

Nora: the day the captain arrived on their doorstep and personally apologized for the loss of her father

Kezia: the day his father blew him up and he burned the fucking house down

4: Does anyone have a crush on your character? Is your character aware of this?

Nora: not yet *eyes emoji*

Kezia: lmao, plenty of people- what comes across as narcissism a lot is actually just plain old confidence, and it’s warranted. but in his canon, kázia is endgame ( @nopeal‘s kári), so eventually (with enough hard work on his part lmao he’s definitely the first one crushing there), he knows kári has a crush on him. that’s the only one that matters to him then. there’s a lot of au universes though, and they are valid, and at least one of them contains @xnightsx‘s jay montui. i have a self-indulgent one with samuel montui also, but that one really takes a ride on the struggle bus- they’d both go into it kicking and scratching, relationships Who? but i’m a sucker for a good friends with benefits to lovers

5: Describe your character's dream date.

Nora: probably a museum or library, followed by a long walk and preferably one that takes place away from lots of other people

Kezia: literally almost anything, as long as everyone is enjoying themselves and the company, when it comes to this at least he’s not picky. unlike he is with many other things
