My pen collection went from a men's size 13 shoebox down to the little decorative box on top. And I found my Prowler!

There were gel pens from middle school in that box... 😂

Every few years I go through my desk

I take out every marker and pen and eraser and see if they still work

I feel relief when they do not, I am allowed to get rid of them now

I wonder how many years it will take me to throw away all of the pens from my childhood desk

I cannot fit under it anymore

But I can’t seem to throw out the desk either

Even though I know it does not work

Going through my pens and pencils. Found some really cheap ballpoint pens that I've probably had for a decade or more.

So far only 2 out of 8 work.

It's kind of satisfying to finally clear them out after having them sit at the back of a drawer for years as some sort of hold over from elementary/middle school, an inescapable constant.
