The whole Cookie's Bustle stuff a while back made me think back on all the weird games and programs I used to download and play way back when. I remember the PostPet email program which has been archived, but also PostPet is still a thing. Momo, their mascot, is so cute.
There was also another obscure Japanese email program that I remember called BottleMail, but I think it's been lost to time. Only some old remnants remain via Wayback Machine through the main site, fan sites, and random write-ups.
Hello, coach-change anon back again:) Thank you for your reply to my ask about Virtue/Moir old programs. I watched "Valse" again--must admit I'm not as familiar with it as "Cherbourg," to respond properly. I do agree with you that "Valse" mostly works in youth, but I also saw something interesting that I would love to see in adulthood, too. "Umbrellas" is much too innocent, yes. And YES! to Pink Floyd. Good call. I'm for Jack&Diane, too--*now* more in keeping with the song's narrator's POV. :)
Hi coach-change anon!
I’m glad I could inspire you to rewatch some of their old programs heheheh. So I guess it’s official then, they should bring back Pink Floyd (@ Tessa and Scott, make it happen. Please and thank you)!
If we’re going into the realm of exh programs, holy crap yes for Jack and Diane! I’d also like too see a reboot of the Ballerina/Hockey player one. It’s not my favorite program/element wise, but it’s just so iconic, that it just needs to keep being brought back every 5-10 years or something like that... for old time’s sake :)
Anywho, thanks for coming back anon!
p.s. apparently at @tessaandscott97‘s m&g, they discussed bringing back What’s Love!? I might actually die if they did!
hiiii does anybody recognize where this button is from? I swear I recognize it but idek where to begin to search for this
Edit: mystery solved, it's Windows 7 Media Player

Author of discontined program Creatoon provides cracking tool.
This is an AMAZING move and really helps those who came looking for an old program only to find that purchase and/or registration of this software is no longer possible due to it being discontinued.
Not only do you declare that you’re giving this software out for free, but you are also provide a tool to bypass the registration requirements. This is something that so many other software developers have failed to do, making their software difficult if not outright impossible to preserve or screwing people out of a program just because they had no idea that it existed until it was too late.
To the developers of CreaToon, thank you.
Looking for your favorite "old" Programs?
I've had this tiny program for so long. Passed from disk to disk and computer to computer unable to do anything with it but not wanting to let it go for the sake of nostalgia. And now I can play it for you on DOSbox and upload it here for archival purposes. It will actually cycle forever, repeating themes with varying color and other small variations. But this is a decently long sample.
