Imani hummed as she was going over some of the paper, she had do to the fact that she has a lot of studying to do, thankful she liked learning and she wanted to make sure she didn't disappoint her parents. So she wasn't complaining (at least not at the moment
Though just because she was studying doesn't mean she can't also relax, which was why she was waiting for her daddy by their favorite napping spot, so that way when her dad was done with work they can play and maybe take a nap!
At least that what she was hoping for when her phone begin making noises, causing the girl to sighed deeply ans she turn to the source of the noise and with a moment of digging in the rather large backpack she got a hold of the prize.
Though now that the phone was no longer muffled by the back and the items inside it was louder, and hurt her ears "I know, I know, I know." Imani spoke rather annoyed with the blaring alarm, as she took a moment to read what she had put it for before she turned it off so that shencan begin packing up.
Imani hoped her brother took his medicine on his own, and she doesn't have to remind him, but than again the dummy had a habit of losing track of time. So she was going to help him which is why she has an alarm on her phone that goes off fifteen minutes before he needs to take it, so she can go give it to him if needed be. (Something she which she doesn't have to do but he can get scary when he skips it)
So once everything, but her phone was packed away. imani pulled the large bag into her back and begin running to her brothers room, glad she had a pillow in it to keep all the heavy hard stuff from hitting her as hard. (Not that it filled stopped and it did bother her tail, but she ender it for now).
And sure it might better to carry less stuff or just leave it at the resting spot since she did plan on returning once she made sure sefu took his meds, but sadly more often than not, a maid mistakes it for trash or the gardener doesn't notice it when watering the plants and wets all her stuff. And despite her mom and dad getting mad at the people, they still do it.
But she couldn't couldn't tell her mom and dad any more because it would cause a problem for them. And if she did that she would be a bad noble lady, so despite the bs those dumb maids and gardener do she had to keep it to herself.
As she walked, imani wonder if what she could do to stop the bullying that wouldn't make her or her family look bad, while in deep thought, she almost past sefu's room and had to take a few steps back so that way she could knock on the door before just entering the room, (after all he didn't answer and the door wasn't locked, so thus it must be ok to enter) poking her head in imani looked about before entering, again shifting the bag on her back before going to her brothers messy desk and open the drawer where she knew the medication was at and hummed.
Reaching in she grab the bottle and with a bit of a struggle popped the top off (dumb child locks) once the lid was off, imani than grabbing a clean tissue from the bed side table, and pour the contents of the bottle on too it and counted all the pills and seeing as it hadn't changed from yesterday means he hasn't taken them.
Huffing that it meant she had give them to him, so with careful hands she return the pills back into the bottle and closed it up, before putting it in the side pocket of her backpack and decided she'll go find that dummy and force him to take his meds.
The question is where that brother of hers went. Huffing and shifting the bag, imani left the room and decided she had no time to waste and begin jogging to the kitchen since sometimes the older two like to sneak snacks out of he kitchen, and while sefu is rude not to at least give her any her cousin always gave her some.
Though by time she got there they didn't seem to be any sign of the two. Huffing imani felt annoyed that they weren't here, cause now she has to find them else where. Looking about she felt her stomch make noises and huffed but she didn't want to get caught eatten snacks before lunch. But still she wished she can have something.
One of the chief noticed her and ended up giving her a slice of ginger rice bread. And she couldn't help but smile brightly and thank the chef for his kindness. And she happily at the bread since it was bad to walk and eat. Happy once done she thought of something and quickly took of her backpack to dig though it to find her bottle once its found she moved to tug at the chef that gave her the bread and asked if she could have juice instead of water in the bottle, which thankfully they agreed and they gave her some fresh cold juice. Happy she thanked them for being the best and waved them good bye before darting out the kitchen.
But as she quickly moved to take a corner not to far from where she had begin running again. Imani crashed into someone and due to the weight on her back caused her to tip backwards. But before imani fully fell, it seemed that she was saved due to the handle being grab and she was than righted, though her feet weren't fully touching the ground. To the outside view it might look like a cat being held by the scruff of their neck.
A blink and a bit of confusion before the child noticed who it was that saved her and excitement filled her "auntie me!!!" Imani wiggled a bit since she was still slightly off the ground. but it seemed her wiggling allowed her to be put down.
Thus she was able to hug her aunt, after all it has been a while since she's last seen the adult (well technically it had only been about two weeks, but to a child of seven that was in fact a long time). Looking up she couldn't help but ask for all the stuff her aunt did while she was away. Only for another alarm to go off from her phone. And she remembered what she had been doing.
"Oh! Um... queen auntie? " she stood stright because she recalled when asking from a favor one must always be respectful. "I was wondering if you knew where sefu is? I need go go find him. And I don't want to run all over the place."
Imani watched her aunt for a bit before she got a pat on the head. "I will tell you where they are, but you have to tell me why you're carrying so much stuff."
"Because if I left it alone the staff throws it away or throws water on it ruining all my homework and my study guides." She lightly huffed. And while she can't tell her parents no more, the jerk nobles never mention her aunt. So it should be perfectly fine.
Watching what her aunt would say she got a pet in the head. "How about I watch your stuff and you can go look for your brother." Imani blinked before nodding since it seemed to make complete sense to her.
"Ok, that would be really good, cause its super heavy!" She than drops the bag with a heavy thmup, but given with how much stuff was in her bag she had to start taking things out of to find what she was looking for.
"Little one? What are you looking for?"
"My pencil case! That way I can put something in it and I won't have to worry about dropping it." She was still looking for a bit how where it went in her bag she wasn't sure. Since it seemed to travel.
Annoyed she begin take stuff out to try and find the stupid case. Unfortunately like it is always the case she had to empty about half the bag in order to find the one thing she was looking for. Happy at her victory she begin dumping out the pencil case and hooking it to her belt than just popped the pill bottle from its safe place until the case.
Though while she moved to start putting stuff away her aunt seemed to grab one of the items to give her. "Imani? Why do you have this?
Looking at what it was she noted it was the royal homework from cheka's King classes, that held all the sticky notes that she had put on their so her cousin could put the answers down when he gets it.
"Um..... no reason? Can I have it back now?" She reached out for the paper, which thankfully she was given. Her aunt also seemed to help her more, but imani noted that she kept looking at all papers with all the sticky notes and she got it from her aunt she noticed it was her brothers or cousin homework that she was doing.
And hoped the elder didn't really notice as she put it back in her bag once done she grab the juice and asked of her aunt could tell her now where they were. Luckly her aunt was a woman of her word. And now with a idea of where to go she smiled.
"Thank you auntie me." She gave a bit of a bow like she was told to and than took off running to get her brother his medicine.
She ran as fast as she could, after all she was on a time limit. And as she ran and got closer to where her brother was meant to be, and it seemed that he was still there, given what she could hear. Quickly enter the room she noticed the teens being completely stupid.
How is that they are meant to be all grown up like and yet they as stupid as the boys on TV that eat paste. Honestly she begin rubbing her head in annoyance before walking closer to the boys.
"Sefu! Mom says you're not allowed to try balancing on the ladder again!" Imani yelled at her brother hoping he would listen but she really should have thought better.
"Oh shut up, you little terp, im about to reach my record!" Sefu was on a ladder wobbling about the room trying to keep his balance and keep the ladder from falling.
"Oh come one, she's just worrying." Her cousin looked at his phone before shouting to her brother. "Thirty second and you beat your previous record!"
Though imani huffed. "Cheka! You can't do that! You have to tell him no when he wants to do stupid stuff."
The elder laughed and petted her head which only annoyed imani more. And while she was about to yell at her cousin a loud noise of metal hitting stone and her brother voice caused her to jump fear filled her as she whip her head to where her brother was.
Thankfully the idoit manged to be ok since the ladder fell where the top was leaning against the wall, and he was able to climb down a bit before leaping off the thing. Imani sighed deeply and pushed her cousin's arm off her, since it seemed he had moved to sheild her at the sound.
Making her way to her brother she punched him in the arm. "You Dummy! You could have been hurt!" She glared at her brother, but she was rather worried for the idoit.
Her brother just clicked his tounge. "Oh shut it, not like were doing something stupid." Her brother paused apparently no longer talking to her but her cousin behind her.
"You're luckly you don't have a sibling to annoy you about every little thing."
"I mean I guess? But it must have some benefits." Imani felt her head patted as it seemed her cousin walked over.
Though when her phone did another alarm she recalled why she was here. "And moved to grab the medication from her pencil case. "Sefu! I just remembered you have to take you medication!"
"Ugh~ did you really have to bring up that crap?" She could hear the snarl in his voice but she ingored it.
"Yes, because you need it." Taking the pills out she shook the bottle at her brother seemed annoyed.
"I don't really need it, if I feel I need it I'll take them."
"Mom says thats not how the medicine works, you have to take it every day for it to work."
"And I'm old enough to decide what to pick for myself."
She huffed and continued to argue with the elder to try to take his pills but the elder refused and when he tried to take off she tried to hold him down but the elder wouldn't be stopped.
So hoping to use her only route. And threaten her cousin who had just been watching and laughing before she addressed him. That if he didn't help, she would stop doing his king homework and giving him the bullet points of the class lesson.
Their was nothing said as she still tried to drag her brother down so she can try to force him to take his medication but as she clung to him she heard him speak. "Dude no."
Her cousin said nothing for a moment longer before he spoke. "Look im sorry, but its either this or I suffer, and I'm not about to deal with that." And that was the last thing he said before she felt her cousin tackle her bother and she had to wiggle away before the teens squished her.
And now that she wasn't trying to keep him from running imani open the bottle (again stupid child lock) before getting it open and taking the pills that she had to give him in one hand and the juice in the other she waited for the right moment and jump on her brother shoving the pills into his mouth. And not wanting him to spit them out she kept her hand in his mouth and with a bit of effort used her mouth to take off the top from her bottle.
And it was a bit of a hard switch, but she manged to get the bottle in his mouth to pour the juice and than grab his nose so he was forced to drink it.
A bit of a struggle and she knew her brother gave up and begin to do what she wanted him to do. And sure she had to lose her juice, it was fine cause she made him take his meds, and that's all that matters. And only than did she get off of her brother.
"Traitor." Her brother shoved cheka off of him before getting up.
Her cousinwho had also gotten up begin dusting him himself off as he spoke "Come on man, it was either this or we can't skip classes anymore."
Her brother clicked his tounge and punched cheka in the shoulder "We? Don't you mean you? You trator?"
"I mean...." Imani rose a brow at how guilty her cousin looked. And something tells her that he would rat her brother out. And it as from her brother's respond she had a feeling her also guessed the same.
"Dick" her brother went to get his skateboard, hopefully he wasn't using it inside.
"Hey imani?" The sound of her cousin drew her attention as she looked to the elder.
"Yeah?"
"Where us your backpack?"
"Oh, well when I was looking for sefu, I ran into your mom and she said she'll look after it for me." Which imani wonder if she should give her aunt something as a thank you while mildly in thought. Though it didn't last long as she heard a curse and both her brothers and cousin took off.
Her brother getting the lead on his skateboard while cheka running after him. Unamused that they left her with put saying anything imani moved to run after them yelling at them to come back. (If they were looking for cheka's mom than they were going the wrong way too.)
As she ran she noticed that the teens seemed to make it super far and yet she kept trying to fallow before hitting the ground, since she has done a lot of running and it seemed she step on something that made her twisted her ankle.
Imani couldn't help but cry out as the pain filled her, and yet she knew she couldn't cry. After all it was shameful to cry, and she had to be brave, and yet it hurt, but not only her ankle but her hands and one of knees hurts as well.
And as she tried to get up it only hurt more, and all she wanted to do was curl on a ball and cry. Time had seemed to long slow down, as she lay on the ground leg in the air to keep the weight off her ankle.
When she heard a familiar and looked up to see her brother running towards her. "Hey pipskeak." The male got closer and grab her leg and poked her anklr which made imani wince in pain.
"Alright, guess i got to carry you." Sefu sighed and helped to get her to stand on one leg before bending down so she can climb on his back.
Imani accept his help but was a tad confused as she was lifted up. "Sefu? Why did you come back?"
"Figured you were being a pest and thought I come back for you."
"Oh? And where is your skateboard?" She held on to her brother as he shifted her higher.
"Gave it to cheka so he can make it to class before someone goes checks to see if were there or not."
Imani frowned at that. "Than doesn't that mean you're going toAquarium get in trouble?"
"Nah its fine not like it maters to much if were flawed, so long as the heir is good, we can die and a lot of these damn nobles wouldn't even care"
Imani frowned. At her brothers words. But in a way she knew it was true and she found herself holding him a bit tighter. "I care."
She could hear her brother laugh. "Yeah, I know, you might be a pest, but I care about you too."
The girl huffed. "You could have left out the pest remark, you know. While annoyed her brother only responded with another laugh. And honestly imani felt her older brother was nothing but a butt head, and he's lucky he's her brother. Otherwise she wouldn't be able to stand his dumb butt. But than again she couldn't imagen her life without sefu as her big brother, so she won't think to much on that.
