I Will Catch you: Please Don't Let me Fall

October 2: Unfortunate Fall (AI-Less Whumptober) and Friend/Companion (Linktober)

During the battle against Volga on a set of islands in the sky Marin is sent careening over the edge and into the sky. Ravio has to decide against keeping his secret and saving the woman he considered a friend and future family member. It's not much of a choice.

A 1 on my whump scale (see the series definition for the scale)

Ravio had been involved in this war for several months now, following the army from place to place and doing his best to offer both his wares and his medical knowledge whenever he could. The battles, travel, and planning dragged on and on and Cia always seemed to be at least one step ahead of them no matter what they did. Ravio knew adventures could take time, but was still a lot to deal with.

It wasn’t all bad though. During their travels he’d grown quite close to the Captain, as well as Tune and Sprite. Though they were all unique people in their own rights, the three local heroes often reminded him of his own hero, back in his own era. It was both comforting and depressing at the same time, but he did his best to work through it and focus on how he could help them and the other fighters in this mess. Heroes often needed tending to, after all. As focused as they were at helping everyone else, they all seemed to be perpetually bad at taking care of themselves. Which meant someone else had to do it for them. And Ravio was happy to take up that position for all three of them, just like he had with Link back home.

He wasn’t alone in his self-assigned duties, however. About a week ago they had been joined by a bright-eyed and divine-voiced redheaded woman by the name of Marin. Ravio had been decidedly baffled, but happily surprised to learn that she was the same Marin that Link had met all those years ago. The literal girl of their dreams, apparently brought to proper life by the Wind Fish as a thank you to Marin and Link both.

*Tune was just.. Digging a hole. Having his normal good ol’ time*

*then it hit him and he doubled over. Falling into the hole as he.. Grew? His clothes ripped in certain places. Just.. Maybe a ‘tad’ too small*

*he lays in the hole. His head swirling with memories he had yet to form. Memories from the future. His head is pounding and he’s squeezing his eyes shut*

*he’s now about 5’8.. Hair very much longer. Very Poofy. He’s.. Got a scar or two that he didn’t have before*
