Art app problems aside, this was so fun to draw! Genuinely one of my favorite poses, and look at them both!! So smiley!! The designs and lore are GORGEOUS, and the explanation for FSA being after Twilight Princess!?!!?? So cool!!!!!
The three outer triangles are, of course, the colors of Din, Nayru, and Farore and the central triangle is the color of Hylia. In the middle there is a broken hourglass to symbolize the danger happening in the story
As far as Tune was concerned, this new adventure he'd gotten himself into had a lot of pros and cons. For pros, he was getting to know three other heroes, learn things about other countries, and he got to meet someone who knew him as an adult! Not to mention how the Carp Captain almost certainly met the Hero of Time as well! Tune hadn't missed that reaction when he brought up his predecessor. And if Carp had met the Hero of Time then it was a good possibility that Tune was going to meet him in the future as well!
On the downside, however, was all the walking. Don't get him wrong, Tune was relatively fit. He could work on a ship all day, explore a dungeon that he came across with relative ease, and fight huge beasts with anything from a cannon to a sword. But he was definitely not prepared to be walking for what seemed to be hours on end with very few breaks. And it didn't help that his travel companions were clearly used to it, which meant that almost any breaks that they stopped to have were almost certainly being done for his sake. He didn't like the idea that he was slowing the group down and causing his new crew to pick up the slack for him. Fox reassured him that his stamina would increase the more they walked, but for now it just felt like he was wearing himself out and dragging the others down at the same time.
At least trying to figure out Fox's hand-words was entertaining enough to take his mind off of the ache in his legs and feet. He was dead set on getting to the point where he could understand her without Captain having to translate, for multiple reasons. The main one was because he would rather be talking directly with her than having someone translate her words for him, but another big one was because Captain Carp was a pretty bad translator. They'd only been traveling together for less than a day, but there had been multiple times where Captain would get caught in in a discussion and forget that he needed to translate Fox's responses for Tune and Crimson to understand.
For now though he just had to press on and hope they reached their destination soon. Crimson had said that they should reach it by nightfall, but that was still too far away. Tune desperately missed being able to spend most of his day allowing his ship to carry him the distance toward wherever he needed to—
It's been a while, but here's an installment of my 'Links in Dresses' series. Captain from @lozriftsintime is vibing in his greenhouse-fairy garden with Eras from @heroesspirit.
This garden is one he was gifted after the war and spent a lot of time working to restore it and build it into the fairy sanctuary that it is now.
Link wasn’t sure how to deal with how his day was going. His first hint that his plans for the day were going to be derailed was when a young woman wearing an unusual pink and white outfit interrupted his pre/post-trip walk around of his train that he always did between runs between cities. He hadn’t minded the interruption, but what she was wearing was more than a little concerning. First off was the golden circlet on her head, it wasn’t exactly like Zelda’s, but the similarities were certainly there. Paired with the golden belt that held up a sash that bore the Triforce on it? Well. Needless to say he was concerned.
The woman didn’t seem to be aggressive, or looking to cause trouble, but she was certainly more than a little lost. Her main questions seemed to be about where they were, but none of his answers seemed to help her. She didn’t recognize the name of the town they had been in, and him saying they were about a two hour’s train ride from Castle Town didn’t help her either. It almost seemed like she hadn’t ever seen, or even heard of, a train before. And if that wasn’t enough, then her reaction to him answering her question about what country they were in certainly cemented his thoughts on this mess. The idea of there being a ‘new’ Hyrule threw her completely for a loop. And had led to him having to explain that the old Hyrule had been flooded by the goddesses after Ganondorf tried to take over. In the end he offered to take her with him when he returned to Castle Town, in hopes that maybe Zelda could help figure things out.
Things only got weirder from there. After boarding the train and taking off from the station, Link realized that he hadn’t ever introduced himself to the strange woman. Introducing himself as Link had earned him a thoughtful look, but her responding that her name was Zelda threw him completely off-kilter. From what his Zelda had told him, only the royal family was allowed to use that name, yet here this woman was. When he pressed her on the matter she said she wasn’t from here and that she’d traveled through a concerningly familiar ripple in the air. If she was telling the truth it sounded like she had come through something very similar to the strange thing that had appeared in the castle courtyard several days back.
He should have known it was just going to get worse from there.
About half an hour into their trip to Castle Town Engineer caught sight of a group of three more strangers walking along the tracks, something everyone he could think of knew not to do. Walking on the tracks was just asking to get hit by a train that didn’t manage to see you and stop in time. Even kids were taught to stay off the tracks from a young age. There was no excuse for these three, all of which looked to be older teens if not full adults, to be doing something so monumentally stupid. And they didn’t even rush to get away the moment the sound of his train reached them! Instead they turned and stared for several beats before one of them grabbed the other two and yanked them to the side, off the tracks entirely.
Link, who had been rushing to stop his train long before the trio got off the tracks, relaxed slightly as they cleared the way. He wouldn’t have hit them, he’d noticed soon enough and the Spirit Engine was better at starting and stopping on a dime than the average train, but he was glad they got out of the way all the same. Once he had come to a full stop, several feet before where they had been standing, Link leapt from his engine and spun to face them.
“What were you thinking?!” He snapped, anger fueled by fear lacing his words. “You should know better than to be walking along the Spirit Tracks! You could have been killed!”

The war was over, the calamity was gone, and the time travelers who had come to help had all been sent home. They’d even been able to rebuild Terrako!
All in all everything had gone far better than Link had feared they would, especially after learning about how things had played out in a different version of their world. He just hoped that their success didn’t erase the world their helpers had come from. Erased the family Twilight had been trying to get back to.
He didn’t think it had, Twilight and Mural had both seemed strangely knowledgeable about time travel and assured him that it shouldn’t have undone the other world, just created a separate branch of time.
But, new timeline or not, things were settling well for them here and now.
King Rhoam had stepped down to allow Zelda to step up as Queen, taking a place as one of her advisors instead. The champions and other people who had helped fight had all returned home safely, and Terrako was running around the castle, beeping and chirping at people like he had throughout their adventure. He tended to stay close to Zelda and never failed to make her smile with his antics even when she was feeling stressed.
Sure, Link might be missing some of the stamina and steady mobility he’d once had, but considering the injury he’d sustained (and the situation his counterpart apparently dealt with in the other world) he counted himself lucky. Zelda had even gifted him a special cane to help him balance when he needed it. Plus his spear doubled as a walking staff if it came down to it.
And it wasn’t like he was unable to fight, he just…had to be a bit more careful, and figure out how not to move. Something he’d been working on over the time that had passed since the fight against Ganon. He still couldn’t believe it had been almost a year.
He’d spent a lot of time during the last year traveling back and forth between Hateno Village to see his family and Zora’s Domain to spend time with his fiance as well as seeing the healers there, just to be sure his leg was fully healed.
Currently he was spending some time in Hateno, though he planned to return to the Domain in a couple of days. Before that, though, he wanted to help his sister bake a pie for their dad’s birthday in a couple of days. To do that, though, he needed to make sure they had enough wood and enough apples. That was the reason he had gotten up early in the morning and made his way into the nearby woods in search of good wood and ripe apples.
Lovely Merrow helped me design Lorule’s equivalent to the Master Sword and then drew both it and its reforged version for me! (Through commission of course.)
So enjoy them and a bit of fun lore about them.
Lorule’s heroes are bigger at cleverness and Integrity than straight courage and strength, so I decided that their main weapon was going to be a bow instead of a sword. Then it was just down to figuring out how to design them. They still have the wing-liked design and the cross-strings, similar to the Master Sword, but that’s where most of their physical similarities end. Keeping with the mirrored idea the Sovereign Bow is mostly Orange and Gold, to stand opposite of the Master Sword’s Blue and Silver. And then the Silver Sovereign Bow is Silver and Red to contrast the Golden Master Sword’s Gold and Green.
And here is some gear that belongs to Hound! Once again, thank you to Merrow for helping me with this.
Hound's Brightscale Spear is very similar to the Zora's Silverscale Spear and focuses on his preference to swipe at his enemies instead of stab, but certainly doesn't rule out his ability to stab. As a generality Hound is rarely seen without the spear in his hand, both as a means of protecting himself and others and something he can discretely lean on if his leg gives him trouble.
The cane sword is a more subtle option, for when he needs it, but is often strapped to his side instead of in his hand unless he really needs the support, or a blade. It's not that he doesn't like it, he just finds his spear more convenient to use most days.

“What is that?” Zelda frowned as she stared at the unusual-looking area of the world in front of her. It wasn’t large, or dark like the rifts, but it did seem to twist and distort the air and small area of ground it encompassed.
Not for the first time Zelda found herself wishing Tri was around, or even Link. Maybe one of them would know what this weird area was. But Tri was long gone, having vanished to go back with the goddesses after the defeat of Null. And Link was currently who-knows-where, having gone off on an adventure to see if the areas beyond Hyrule’s borders were alright after the damage Null had done to Hyrule, and possibly the lands beyond. So that just left Zelda. She couldn’t even ask Impa, Lueberry, or Minister Lefte since they were back at the castle and she was days away from there in the depths of the Faron Wetlands. She supposed she could ask the Deku Scrubs but…somehow she doubted they’d be much help. So that just left her, alone and uncertain what this thing was, or if it was safe.
Though…Zelda glanced down at her right hand at the golden triangle that sat on her hand, a fragment of the Prime Energy that had remained with her even after they’d beaten Null and freed those taken by the rifts. It was glowing more than usual today, and had been since she arrived in this area, growing steadily brighter as she got closer to this strange…thing. Was the Prime Energy calling her here? Or even the goddesses themselves? After three years the feeling of their blessings had settled into something she simply adjusted to and barely noticed at all, but even that had grown more prominent as she drew closer.
What did that mean, though? What was she supposed to do now that she was here?
Zelda shifted her grip on her tri rod and dropped her other hand down to the hilt of her blade as she thought. Was she…supposed to go into this thing? Like she and Tri had gone into the rifts? She wasn’t sure how that would work if she was, not without Tri’s assistance to go in and out. Not that this was the exact same thing…
Zelda huffed a sigh and shook her head. This would take some planning, and maybe some research. But first she should probably warn the Deku Scrubs to stay away from this place while she worked on it.
Decided, Zelda turned to go, but found herself freezing a moment later as the sensation of the goddesses’ blessings flared up in her in a way they never had before. It felt like she was overflowing with their energy as the three blessings swirled and mixed under her skin.
Then she was somewhere else entirely. The white void was both terrifyingly strange and familiar at the same time. But this time, instead of the colors of any of the three golden goddesses, an unfamiliar purple light filled the area, followed by a voice she didn’t recognize.

Marin could admit, at least to herself, that she was coming to truly enjoy her life as it was. The home she shared with Ravio was a nice one, the Queen had made sure they were provided for after Lana had been unable to send them back to Ravio’s home. And getting to spend time with Ravio was nice as well. He was a sweet man, smart and caring too, if a bit self-deprecating at times.
It wasn’t perfect though. She still missed her hero fiercely. And Ravio did as well, probably more than she did. And that wasn’t even considering the lingering effects the war had left on them both. Plus this world, as nice as it was, wasn’t theirs. Sure, they’d both had to swap worlds before; Ravio from Lorule to Hyrule, and Marin from Koholint Island to the land of the waking world. But they both had a place they called home, somewhere they wanted to get (back) to. Even if Marin hadn’t been there herself yet.
But even with the challenges they were making it work. They’d had a almost a year and a half to get used to it, after all. Plus the two years of war.
That wasn’t to say that they’d given up hope on getting home, however. Of course not. And that was why she and Ravio were currently settled on a couch inside the temple that Lana and Cia made their home.
The couch itself was somewhat new, having been added to the room they were in about six months ago, after it became clear that getting them home was going to take a lot of research, and plenty of trial and error. In fact, the two of them had found themselves traveling from CastleTown to this temple about eight times since the end of the war. The last visit had been about two months prior and ended up leaving all four of them in a state of intense frustration.
After so many tries, Marin didn’t hold too much hope out for this newest attempt (it was far too painful to get her hopes up only to have them dashed each time), and she knew Ravio didn’t either. But they still made sure to set things up like they were going to make it home each time they came. The house back in CastleTown was clean and organized and the Queen had a spare key (The Captain having taken his with him after he apparently went through a strange rip in time about a week ago). Plus they had all of their most important gear and belongings on them, stored away into spelled side pouches.
Unsurprisingly, this visit had been unsuccessful so far, and Marin could tell that the pair of time mages were growing disheartened again as their most recent ritual refused to give them any useful results. Ravio had even started to fall asleep against her side while they waited for the mages to finish, relaxed despite the frustrated mutterings coming from the other side of the room. To be honest, he was rather cute sprawled out like he was; one wing semi-tucked against his back, the other wing draped off the side of the sofa, and bunny-hood askew enough to allow more of his long purple-black hair to show from under it.
Marin was starting to consider joining Ravio in his nap when the dark-haired man suddenly sat up with a gasp , grey wings flaring out to mantle over her protectively as his eyes fixed on the center of the room.

Ask: Hilda, what's your relationship with Ravio like these days?
Hilda: Despite the mess I caused a couple of years ago Ravio and I are doing good these days. After Link and Zelda wished our triforce back into existance he and I put a lot of work into starting to rebuild our country. And it was during that time that I learned what he had been working on with the Great Fairies in an attempt to fix things without me. I do sometimes wish that I had listened to him back in the beginning, but things fell into place well enough in the end. I eventually ended up sending him back to Hyrule, since it was clear he missed that world, and it's hero, deeply. But despite the distance we live at now we still keep in touch via regular letters. I even got to officiate his and Link's wedding, alongside Zelda of course.
Asks for my characters are always open, please feel free to send them along :D
This particular ask comes from the @linked-maze discord question game.
