Unexpected Guests || Sun Dog

Normally, Pheobus would’ve taken his time getting home, but after Winona’s letter, he was anxious to see what awaited him. It only took him second to apparate into Hogsmeade, close enough to reach their front door in less than five minutes at a brisk walk. Calling out as he opened the door, he was greeted by his dogs who seemed excited to see him, as usual, but also apprehensive about something. “Everything alright in here, ladies? Where’s the missus?” With a yip, Dora and Tani led him farther into the flat, where he could swear he heard a lot of whimpering. “Winona? Is everything okay?”

Cade’s eyebrows shot up, surprised at his sister’s decision to do the introductions at such an inopportune time. Given everything though, he was going to support her, and try to help Pheobus get through the trip in one piece.

Cade had half expected not to get a response at all, but he was glad that he had. However, when he finished reading what his sister had to say, he nearly threw something. He took a deep breath, and made sure not to say anything he’d regret when he responded.
