“Aw, it’s so cute when you’re being all gentleman like saying your please’s and thank you’s, Cade.” Paula laughed a bit. She was only teasing - he tended to be that way a lot.  “I mean, I guess you’re alright and close enough to my level.” Cade was a bit much for Paula if she was being honest, but that wasn’t going to stop her from riding around in her high horse, not one bit. “Losing my confidence? Cade, please… I know you’ve been gone for awhile, but sweetheart, that’s never going to go away. Honestly, I’m a bit more confident now then I was before. You may want to take advantage of that.” She smirked a little.’ Paula’s attention was taken and ran with as she looked up at him. “You’re getting a puppy?!? I want to see it.” 

"What can I say, even when I’m being a dick, I try to be ‘polite’ about it.” Cade knew it was weird, what with his general personality otherwise, but there were some lessons, you just couldn’t forget so easily. His mother always telling him to be polite, was definitely one of them. “Oh gee, thanks for throwin’ me a bone there, kid.” Cade and Paula hadn’t been together since the one time, but then he had a feeling neither one of them minded it much. In his case, it was enough that he’d managed the one night, seeing as they’d gotten around to screwing on almost every surface of his flat. “Just checking. Oh good, because what this town needs, is another overly confident, sex driven, person, who couldn’t care less about the gender of their partner. Maybe I will.” He laughed when she latched onto the part about him getting a puppy, and knew that’s all they’d be talking about for awhile. “I am, my sister found an abandoned litter a few months ago, and has been trying to find them homes. While I’m pretty sure they’re good to go to their forever homes by now, I’ve been waiting for a solid break from work, so that I can take the time to get it used to Patch and myself. You can meet him, because it will be a boy, as soon as he’s home with me, or you can go over to the Fiers-Chevalier flat, and meet all the pups; maybe even take one for yourself.”

Paula took the words with a grin as she untwisted herself. “Cade.” She said with a small grin. “Coming from someone like you that can last for hours it seems - that’s a wonderful compliment, thank you.” She laughed it off a bit with a shrug. “Oh no. There is only a select few that actually make me work for it in bed, and it’s on my level. Besides that, I’m running things quite nicely. I’m just stressed, and yoga is suppose to help that - along with becoming even better in bed.” Grinning she let herself lean back on her arms. “I’ve certainty missed your face, what rock have you been hiding under?” 

Cade’s smirk grew, and he inclined his head in quiet greeting, before chuckling softly. “Well first of all, thank you, and second of all, you’re welcome. We make a pretty evenly matched pair I think; in the sex department at least.“ He didn’t doubt that there were other areas they were they could give each other a run for their money, but they weren’t those kinds of friends, and he didn’t mind that at all. “Oh good, I’d hate to see you go losing that sexy confidence. Of course you are. Sorry to hear that, but at least you’ve found a stress reliever that supposedly works wonders in other areas.” He nodded, shifting his weight from one leg to the other with a shrug. “The one I’ve found myself up in Montrose, while I focus on the season. I don’t know why, but I just haven’t enjoyed being in town like I used to. I’m sure it’ll wear off soon though, since I’ve got a Christmas puppy to look forward to.”

A Few Questions // Cade & Ping

mulanzhou:

Mulan was stressed, but most of all she was tired.  Tired from lying to people she cared about, tired from lying to people (or person) she hardly knew, tired from even lying to herself.  All these lies made her confused.  Who was she anymore?  Did she actually like… no, she didn’t want to think about that.  One was her best friend, the other someone she hardly knew.  Of course, then, she didn’t like either.  Another lie she would not acknowledge.

The only constant in her life of things that kept challenging her was flying.  Sure, quidditch lately has sucked.  She hated every single second of practice.  She didn’t even feel part of the team anymore, and she never really tried to begin with, but it felt worse lately.  Despite that, she didn’t let those negatives damper her love of flying.  Dressed as Ping (which currently she felt more comfortable being than Mulan), she went to the pitch to fly a few laps and ignore her problems.

Cade wasn’t sure what had drawn him to the Hogwarts pitch, but as he wandered around it’s edge, he couldn’t help feeling a little nostalgic. Sure, he liked being an independent adult, much more than he’d ever enjoyed being a student under the thumb of others, but there was something about it that he missed. Probably the lack of big responsibility, if he was honest.

Before he could contemplate that thought too much, Cade noticed a younger male approaching with his broom, and maneuvered himself into a position to simply watch, unnoticed, for a few minutes. He wanted to see what this kid was made of, and if they’d be someone worth looking for in the future. Of course he’d probably make his way over and give them a hard time, just for the hell of it, but first he wanted to be nosy.

Being put on a new mission with some random missing bodies around the Inn was stressful enough, but doing it so behind Ace’s knowledge killed her a little. She could feel the stress of it chipping away. Someone told her yoga would help , and could make her more flexible. Which her mind took completely in the sense of things she could do in the bedroom. Hearing foot steps come from behind her she groaned a little. “Busy perfecting my bedroom skills, leave a message at the beep….” She grumbled leaving the beep out on purpose.

Cade wasn’t sure where he was going, he just knew he had to get out of the house. Patch had been conked out, or he’d have dragged his precious pop along with him. However he hadn’t been expecting to see a familiar blonde on the ground in such an odd position. She was doing yoga, if he wasn’t mistaken, but it was her words that had him responding with a smirk on his face."You know, the last time I checked, you really didn’t any help in that department. Don’t tell me someone’s got the infamous Paula Victor worried about her performance.”

Puppies! || Open

There wasn’t anywhere for Vidia to get time to herself. At school, she was piled on top of the other girls in Ravenclaw since Slytherin Dorms were still being repaired. At home, her parents were suffocating her with concern. As an alternative, she walked through town over and over again.

The sun was setting and she turned the corner of one of the residential areas. “Oh, my Merlin!” Her feet carried her to the side of a box filled with puppies. “Free?” She said aloud as she read the side. “Who would even think of leaving you out here all alone?” She scooped up two and nuzzled her face into their fur. 

Vidia heard feet coming toward her and she slowly lowered the puppies. She was trying quite hard to hide the joy on her face but puppies were a melting point for the prickly Slytherin student. “Can I help you?”

Cade was just heading over to Winona’s house, after having been pestered into at least meeting the brood of abandoned puppies she’d found. Something told him he’d be walking away with at least one more, but given how little they were, that posed a bit of an issue where work was concerned. Walking down the street, he saw a familiar figure not too far from his destination, and he smiled. He and Vidia weren’t always the friendliest of people, but he did enjoy bugging her from time to time. Wondering what she was doing in the area, he headed straight for her, before realizing why she was stopped.

With a frown, he approached the box, and looked around to make sure they weren’t in front of the house he was looking for. Taking a grateful breath, Cade realized they weren’t, but the fact that someone had just left some defenseless puppies out on the street, made him angry. When he realized the girl had spoken, he shook his head, not caring if she was looking at him, or even if she was talking to him. “Not unless you’re the jackass who left those there. Who the fuck would pull that kind of stunt?” He was looking around, fully intended to punch the asshole who’d thought it was okay to just ditch a box of puppies; assuming of course that they were anywhere near by.

Ziggy looked around, having no idea where he actually was. He could only assume the man before him was telling the truth, but that didn’t necessarily excuse him from throwing rocks. “Well I suppose it’s one step above beating the trashcan with a rod.” He replied, knowing all too well about letting out his aggression on inanimate objects. Though, with the way some of his roommates were, he had a feeling he would get to punch a few idiots anyways. “Ever heard of a punching bag?”

Cade inclined his head slightly, trying not to snort like he wants to. As far as he was concerned, he could do whatever the damn well pleased, especailly outside of his own home. "Didn’t have one on hand, or I might’ve done.” He felt as though he and the stranger had a few things in common worth bonding over, and if he wasn’t so interested in getting out of the house just then, he might’ve tried. However, as it was, he simply answered the question, while keeping his thinly veiled hostility in check. “I have, I just prefer targets that make a big noise, or try to fight back. There isn’t much satisfaction in other things in between; at least not for me.”

Grace bit her lip harshly at the squeeze to her hand. Though, thankfully she had two. Reaching her free hand up she grazed it against his hip and started right where he stopped her. “Maybe a little.Though, being a free woman and all - I doubt it’d find myself in much trouble. You on the other hand…” Grace just giggled a little as she kept her eyes locked with his.

He cocked an eyebrow, and smirked playfully. "Only a little, now where’s the fun in that?” Cade let her other hand wander until it reached his hip, and he had to stop her again; at least while they were still out in public. “That’s not exactly what I meant, but I’m pretty sure you knew that.” This was one of those moments, where he wished he didn’t have a stupid morality clause holding him back. At the same time though, deep down, he knew it was best for everyone. “Watch yourself, Grace, your reputation can only take a nosedive with me.”

Grace just rolled her eyes at him. Of course she knew anything and everything he did wasn’t much of him trying to sneak around a motive. Grace smirked feeling his hand move on top of hers and started to lower it. “Wanna get in trouble?” She asked with a small smirk still on her lips. 

As Grace’s hand lowered, Cade took in a deep breath, but stopped it at his navel with a not so gentle squeeze. “Not particularly, no.” Liar. “Why, do you?”

Grace  simply shook her head as he made everything over dramatic. “Stumbling back and just giving me a better view isn’t doing much, Cade. You’re not sneaky.” Grace grinned a little and stepped closer to him. Pressing her hand against his chest as she looked up at him with a lip bite. “Now I’m touching, and looking.” She said as she let her eyes wonder. 

Cade shrugged with a small smile. "Or is it? Come on now, Grace, you’re not naive enough to think I’m actually trying to be sneaky here.” He had to resist the urge to pull her in closer, and bite that lip for himself. As it was, Cade glanced down at her hand, and then put his own on top of it as he locked eyes with her. “True, but you’re not touching anything that could get either of us in trouble, so I think we’re okay.”

The man before him looked older and even though Ziggy was oblivious to who he was, he guessed he wasn’t a student. There was tension with his statement, but that was okay. Half of what Ziggy said was filled with some sort of venom, he was used to it and knew how to handle it. Or make it worse. “That depends,” Ziggy replied and sassed back, “Is this normally where people come to throw rocks at trashcans?”

Cade was unamused by the response he got, but not at all surprised, given how he’d acted in the first place. Smiling with all the sarcasm he could muster, he took a puff from his cigarette and shrugged. “It is for me, considering my flat is right above you, and I was on my way home. Can’t a guy just take out his shit on inanimate objects, anymore? I mean isn’t it better than some unsuspecting idiot?”

Ziggy was standing by himself, trying to take in the scenery when his solace was disturbed by a noise. He chose to ignore it and went to take a bite of the apple he was holding, when suddenly the noise happened again. He paused and listened; he wasn’t alone anymore. The third time the noise went off, he took an aggressive bite of the apple, chewing it as he counted to 10. When he was done, he turned around slowly trying his best not to glare, but hey, he always looked mad.

“What are you doing?”

Cade was in a bad mood, not an unusual occurrence for him, but given that he couldn’t take it out on a bludger, he had to find some other way. Walking down the street, he picked up a few rocks, and stopped to throw them at a nearby bin, smirking as they made an loud noise. He was ready to do it again, someone nearby turned to him with a glare, and he nearly laughed as he pulled out a cigarette and lighter. “Sorry, did I disturb your precious ‘alone time’ or something?”

Grace just simply rolled her eyes at him. Cade was good, but Grace enjoyed him more when he was fighting himself to behave around her. Watching the wink she reached out and pushed him away a little. Not minding that he was completely nude. “Some bonus, I’m really scoring.” 

Cade made a show of stumbling back, as though she had more power in her tiny frame than was realistic. He gave her an eye roll of his own, and shook his head as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Sure, if you’re grading on a curve, maybe, but since you get to look, and not touch, I don’t think it’s quite the same thing.”

“Well, I guess it works in your favor I hardly ever listen to what everyone else has to say about something. I’m better at just figuring things out myself.” Shrugging she laughed a little bit. Raising a brow she smirked at him. “Well then, if you’re in the mood and not in your birthday suit to freeze everything off we should take a stroll with a little star talk.”

"Good on you, I feel the world would be a better place if we all did that. Then again, I’m of the mind that if we all act like sheep, we’ll all end up mutton chops, so.” Cade couldn’t figure out if she was simply being nice, or trying to suggest a date, and it bugged him a little bit. Not that she didn’t seem nice enough, but dating was something he’d refused to do in recent years, and so he shrugged off her suggestion, without totally blowing it off. “Sure, I’ll keep that in mind, both the star walk, and the lack of birthday suit. However, I make no promises on the latter, given than I’m usually naked when the stars are out.”

Clearly he was comfortable in his skin, but that didn’t mean Malinda was necessarily welcome to look him over. It was proving a little difficult, though, since it severely limited where exactly she could look. That and he was handsome, and while she wasn’t the type to run on her hormones, still, it wouldn’t hurt to look…but then again, it would probably be rude, so she kept her gaze firmly above his shoulder level. At his small compliment, she gave a chuckle. “Well thank you, I guess. But you’re right. If it does,” she paused and finally let her eyes wander briefly before going back to his face, “I don’t think anyone is going to complain.”

Cade was having trouble telling if she was uncomfortable, or simply trying not to look him over. If it was the former, he’d gladly excuse himself, given that causing someone discomfort wasn’t part of the plan, but it was the latter, he wasn’t going to discourage her. At this point in his life, he simply figured it was better to flaunt it while he still had it. He could, however, tell that she was working overtime in trying not to look him over, and now he was trying to keep a count for how long it would take her. Inclining his head slightly at her thanks, his smirk grew a little larger. "You’re welcome.” Not long at all, apparently. “Yeah? Well shucks, thank you.”
