Older people criticize our generation's music as trash and it’s complete bullshit. It really pisses me off how older people think the rap of “their time” was the best rap music. But what they don’t know is they are so wrong. Think about it if their rap music was so good people would be selling more albums than Drake, but that shit doesn’t happen. Older people need to get over the fact that their music isn’t what we get off to. You can dis on Lil Yatchy, Migos, Desiinger, OG Macro, Yung Lean, ect. as much as you want that doesn’t deny the fact they have made millions and influenced a generation! Older folks say that “Our Music” has no fucking meaning and its pointless, again bullshit. People back in the day rap about the same shit people rap about now, think about it way back in the late 80’s when rap was coming up people were rapping about what gangs, money, drugs, sex, and shooting. If you think about it though… what’s the difference between now and then, we have better beats? We use auto-tune? The topics are the same. So how is it any different? So a note to all you older folks saying that 90’s music is the best, get off you high horse that time has come and gone. Theres a lot more now to music then just 90’s rap, and if your stuck in the past, I feel bad for you son, because you got 99 problems and regret is one… ;)
