It’s so tempting to move prematurely from the knees to the knee plank to the plank. But then the whole point of the exercise is lost. By grasping for more, I get less. It’s not about doing an exercise but about experiencing how my body is responding to a demand and what I can learn from that. And if “everybody else” is doing a variation that I’m not ready for, that’s just fine. No jumping to the harder variation.
