I'm saddened to hear that @Smoothambler is possibly sending the #OldScout (sourced MPGI whiskey) line the way of the dodo. The good news is that there self produced spirit should be coming of age in the very near future. Who’s been grabbing some of the newer single barrel sourced MGP stuff of late?! • A new era of MGP has slowly been creeping in, mostly 4-6 year stuff coming from a slew of new and up and coming players • As for this SAOS SiB will find out here shortly when I crack into it and put it to the test • Smooth Ambler was definitely a favorite of mine a few years back when 10-13 year single barrels were readily available at $50-60 • So glad to see them keep the price point even though these are about half the age, these days you never know, it would not have shocked me to see a $80-90 price tag • #smoothambler #oldscout https://www.instagram.com/p/CG3f38tgFYK/?igshid=1icjy3mr8sgr5

Crazy to think this is vintage, but this is some vintage SAOS • 2016 SiB, 11 year MGP deliciousness • Probably one of the first of the super successful bottlers of aged MGP juice • If your able to ever try some of these, you know, they were so dam good, and to think you could score them for around $50-60 for the longest time • Needless to say, I’m happy to have bunkered a couple for a rainy day, or you know a couple months of quarantining • Whichever came first obviously • #smoothambler #oldscout https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Tl08ZAdnI/?igshid=1seupxy5vdvln

Old Scout, Cask Single Barrel // 🥃🥃 ________________________________________________________ This was one of the last single barrels of Old Scout to hit California. I’m grateful to of secured one bottle and am looking forward to what Old Scout has to offer in the (hopefully) near future.
