Our Teddy Ruxpin is finally playing custom hacked audio ๐งธ๐๐ ๏ธ๐๐๏ธ๐ง๐ค๐ฑ๐ก
After many hours over the last week of poking and prodding at the Teddy Ruxpin audio32 file format we finally got a converted wave file playing. we had to fish our nexus 7 tablet out of a pile and recharge it overnight to run some code we found for changing the audio on a different toy - the linked library required an arm android device running API 22 which means nothing higher than android 5.x! but after a apk and adb noodling and a little hex-editor surgery we've got this playing our voice instead of the built in audio file. whew! we'll be doing a write-up soon including all the things that didn't work. we'll also try to figure out and document how to get the audio encoded without using a 10-year-old tablet.
