Stopped by Old Town Mall on my way back from the post office. The lower end is looking rough! I photographed the whole strip 11-12 years ago. Stores have come and gone, colors have changed, roofs have caved in and facades collapsed. It’s more intact the further up the strip you go, but not much has changed despite the annual press conference announcing a new redevelopment plan that never seems to happen. Such a waste. Meanwhile you can see Harbor East’s glass skyscrapers rising in the distance. I love shooting #videos at #oldtownmall...its just #beautifully dilapidated. The funny thing is that when i show people the music videos that i shoot down there they either guess that its Chicago or #baltimore. I think it just has that quality to it.
