For a time, I had my own special effects makeup and props and puppet design studio in Hollywood, California. In these photos, you see some of the work I did for DreamWorks Interactive’s film production for the computer game R.L.Stine Escape From Horrorland. I created/sculpted several zombie makeups which were designed by an artist who’s name completely slips my mind right now, but, the funny thing is, it turns out that he and I attended the same high school in Southeastern Arizona in a small copper mining town and we took the same art classes together. How embarrassing. Anyway, he and I hadn’t seen each other since I left high school many years earlier and, one day, when he had been talking to the art director on this production, who also happened to be my best friend, when he heard my name which had been brought up because he was told that I would be using his designs to create all of the zombie makeups (prosthetics), he told my buddy that he needed to meet me because he felt that we knew each other, which we did, and it was a very cool reunion, because I remembered him as an extremely talented artist back in high school. I wish I could remember his name. Interestingly, I remember having a wonderful art teacher in middle school whose name was Mrs. Soles. She was SO cool, and she had a great sense of humor while also never taking any $hit from any students. Then, in high school, we had Mr. Turner who was also extremely cool. I think this little town churned out some really talented artists and performers and writers, as I recall that a young woman who I went to high school with in this same town became a best-selling author who write romance novels and does really, really well for herself.

Ohhhhhh man what a day. I found this this morning at the flea market. An Atari 2600 with 24 games 4 paddles, and 4 joysticks. 8 year old me would be ecstatic!!! 40 year old me is thinking how the fuck am I gonna hook this up to see if it works. 😂 Hey it was worth a shot for $25.
