Stapelia olivacea, a classic South African endemic that seems to require a specific mid altitude niche in order to manage it’s survival. S. olivacea is a relatively rare member of the genera despite it’s relatively wide range, it’s realized locality depends on the mist, boulder like and gravelly media, and mountain orientation. With this said, it’s uncommon in collections too; but, not too difficult to cultivate.
