HI!! here's some OCs and an animation i made for college back in may! the gist is that onda (it/they) and gioia (she/her) are two aliens that crash landed on earth and work with olive (they/it) as thieves to steal treasures all around the universe!! i thought of a lot more for them but i'll be honest and say i'm a little embarrassed at how they turned out, though I did crank all this out in ~4 weeks so... [happy to say i got a perfect grade] . i might slightly redesign them ! i'll ramble about the characters under the cut. might be misremembering...
Gioia (meaning joy in italian) would be the protagonist :] she's from a planet with butterfly people and her mother is the monarch (funny joke. monarch butterfly). she feels inadequate in her mother's shadow, and has lots of siblings she feels a need to compete with. she's a little reckless- she ended up on earth because she snuck onto a cargo ship that led to another spaceship that hosted a party. ensue the animation
Onda (meaning wave in italian) is a shapeshifter. It can only shapeshift into something of the same mass that it has seen and studied before. Its species lives a very very long time and inhabits a planet full of megafauna. Usually, it looks something like a frog, but for the purposes of being on earth it takes the form of a human, albeit with more liberty due to its very relaxed and slightly hopeless demeanour. It was hired by gioia's mother, the monarch, to keep track of her and make sure she stays home, but it saw how much potential gioia had and decided to just make sure she's safe while on earth. surely gioia will not feel betrayed when the truth comes out that she's basically being babysat by someone her mother hired !
Olive... oh olive... olive is sardinian ^v^ this story takes place in sardinia! they have no close relationships and live out in a house in the middle of the countryside that they inherited from family. they like to collect old technology, and their dream is to create a sentient robot to befriend since "people suck". this is why they want to work with onda and gioia despite preferring their own self-isolation, the two of them can bring alien technology that can help create sentient life. [the robot will totes be another design] . on missions, they usually work remotely, controlling tech and providing directions
and thats the gist! at the time i was very inspired by lupin iii and trigun :] im kind of eh about it but its better to show what ive done than not
-He is just a big fluffy cat with luscious hair and lots of plants. She is bigger then a normal cat and spends most of their time alone just making things
-She has some goggles she just found one day. Yes they do have eyes no you cannot see them. In the middle of their teeth is a gap
-Flowers are poppies, chaste tree, and a lisianthus flower
-He is genderfluid using she/he/they, aroace. Loves music and is a very chattery cat, though talking with others is a bit of a problem for them. She is a big researcher especially on birds, other feline species, moths, and plants.
(ID- Olive is a very messy furred brown cat with a few scars and lots of plants. He is standing to the left with their head looking to the right and tail slightly above the ground. Hair covers her eyed with two pieces up to slightly resemble horns, long fur on the back of their legs and thick mane of fur. She is dull brown with lighter fur on their belly, chest, chin, nose, mane, and back of his front legs. Darker brown is on her hair, ears, front paws, back back of their front legs, tail, and back of his hind legs. Light brown streaks through her fur mostly on his tail, back, and front hair. Leaves dots their pelt, poppies, chastetree flowers, and lisianthus flowers. Scars are on his neck, front leg, and belly with both their ears chipped. Red tinted glasses are on his head with pink lenses and a darker band keeping it together. At the top right is the colors used and the faint signature “Nightly Ruse” over her side. End ID)
A while back I decided to start doing headshots of characters of mine that desperately need more love as warm-ups for other drawings, which didn’t get very far but you can have one of the headshots I did draw lol
