ok first my demon boys because. i love a purring demon. they definitely purr when they’re content but it’s not really a sound they’d make in public because it’s typically an affectionate thing between paired demons :3c just imagine cute head pets or playing with hair n they just start to purr. it sounds similar to how a cougar sounds when it purrs... i’m weak
although for nix’dra he’s not Technically a demon so he doesn’t give a shit and will purr whenever the hell he feels like it. can’t control him
and for my furries 👀👀 not every species purrs but raven definitely has a type of purr that he’d usually make when being preened or pet.... it’s kind of a deep chirpy purr and isn’t continuous, it just sounds short and cute (special thanks to my bird kiwi for that inspiration)
raccoon would probably purr more like a cat although it’s not the most common thing for his species so he’d have to be EXTRA SUPER CONTENT AND HAPPY to make that kind of sound... it’d be somewhat high pitched and real quiet
