Film: WINTER FLIES (d. Olmo Omerzu, 2018, Czech Republic/Slovenia)

Observations: Where would moderately-budgeted indies be without the road-movie storyline that practically writes itself? Two mismatched teen boys trundle off in a stolen car on an ill-defined mission, with the police in pursuit. Hitch-hikers are picked up, intoxicants are consumed, rules are broken, family secrets are revealed. Extremely minor but fun, with a very-odd homage to NIGHT OF THE HUNTER mid-way through.
