Let me tell you a thing about a thing that happened:
Today I bought an Olympus XA from work and was given a new set of foam to install. Following careful instructions and only slightly inebriated, I got the old foam out and the new foam in exactly as it should be. Immediately after, I noticed the aperture wasn't stopping down when it should have. After some searching on google/youtube/photo.net, etc. I found a flickr conversation about the issue. The dude said he accidentally dropped his camera and it started working again...
So I shook the camera a bunch and struck it once and now the aperture blades stop down.
