It did thank you so much! This whole thing was making my head spin! But one more quick question, so let's say I get in and pick my arrival date and my friend gets in a week after me and has a really close date. Can we change our arrival dates to be the same week/day or are they permanent after we chose the first time? Oh and I guess I should ask of you have to chose the date immediately after you get accepted. You're a god send! Thank you!
I’m actually not sure if you can change your arrival date after you choose it! I feel like you possibly can! You do choose your arrival date right after you’re accepted. But yeah, I’m not sure if you can change it... I never changed mine so I have no idea haha :)
Hi there! So my friends and I really want to do the Disney College Program together, what are the chances that we will receive the same arrival week/departure date? Can you give a run down of this particular process? Thanks in advance!
@olympia5000
Arrival dates are dependent upon your role and the amount of available spots for that role. So getting the same dates depends on if you guys get accepted closer together and similar dates are available for your role. When you get accepted and accept the offer, there are several steps and one of them is choosing your dates. So you do have a say in when you arrive, but if there are people who have gotten accepted before you in the same role and have filled the spots for that date, then it will not be available to you. Hope this makes sense…
Hey! So my friends and I really want to do the Disney college program together, so what are the chances of us having the same arrival week/departure day? Can you kind of explain this whole process? Also how hard would you say the phone interview really is and what are the chances of someone making it past that point and being accepted? Thank you in advance?
Hey! That’s so exciting!
So, your arrival/departure day is arranged by what your role is. That’s not to say that more than one role won’t arrive on the same day, but you’ll be arriving and moving in at the same time as other people with your role. In my apartment we had two character performers, a lifeguard, QSFB, and merchandise! So those were all the roles (maybe there were more idk) that had our arrival date. What’ll happen is you’ll get your email and you’ll have a link that you can click to choose your arrival day. It’ll take you to a calendar that has certain days with certain roles listed (like August 20th - Merchandise, August 20th - Lifeguard). So I’d bet you have a higher chance of getting the same arrival date as your friend if you get accepted in the same role at different times. But either way whoever gets accepted first picks their date and as everyone else gets accepted, you try your hardest to pick the same date!
(However, it’s worth noting that I received my acceptance as a Character Performer and they didn’t have a specific arrival date listed for us, which was very confusing, so I had to just pick a date and go with it? I can’t remember exactly what happened but it all worked out lol.)
You have to have the same arrival date to be roommates, but don’t worry if you end up with different arrival dates! Try to pick the same apartment complex, then you can still hang out at each other’s apartments :)
As far as the phone interview goes, it’s just what it sounds like! Someone from Disney casting will give you a call and interview you! They’ll ask all sorts of questions depending on what role they’re considering you for (when I applied they asked me about photography and stuff since I’d listed Photopass as my highest option). If you make it to the phone interview you have a REALLY good chance of making it in. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who didn’t pass their phone interview! I had a friend fail her WBI (Web Based Interview) though :/ which was also unheard of lol.
I hope that answered your questions!
