Pretty sure this is from the Olympic break in February because Will Vote is holding the beanpot trophy
HUGE news, thank you anon!!!! Ok so Boston folks definitely knew that already but EYE am sleep deprived so this was helpful TO ME.
Surely this is a replica. Why would they let hockey idiots flounce off with the trophy. I suppose they let hockey idiots flounce off with the Stanley Cup though.
didn’t think i’d be this excited to have the sharks back. i was so buzzed before the gold medal game thinking how is the regular season hockey’s gonna cut it for me now but honestly i’m just about as geeked as ever.
i’m excited to see everyone back and pushing again. we were a mess before the break. i’m excited to see if the change of pace will do anything. or if the olympians will be back with newly lit fires. but if they’re still on some weird shit they were on, i’d love to see some big changes. ik warso constantly cooking up bullshit but i wanna see some shit we can stick with. wouldn’t even be mad if it doesn’t work just try it out and see. i don’t think it’ll hurt us to not make it to playoffs. we need a fresh faced d anyways.
(on of the big changes i wanna see is will and mack on a different line. frankly i just want to see will plays center again. i just want to see what he fits or likes better now that he’s not a rookie anymore)
idk why it tickles me so bad that they’re updating on their travel situation🤣 reggie stuck in new york bc of snowstorm but mack would probably be safe bc he’d be coming through miami
Some bits and pieces of what Will’s been up to during the much needed Olympic break
hope this doesn’t come off weird but i’m glad will’s focusing on getting bigger and gaining weight. my heart still sinks a little when i see him getting checked hard into the board (could be bc he’s my fav but lol mostly because he’s so lean)
as a fellow skinny legend, i know how hard it is to do and actually stay that way, especially for someone as active as him. but he has to do it. and he will.
The Feb 5 Freeze Frame: NHL’s Shot Blocking Leaders
The piece uses the Feb. 5, 2026 Olympic pause as a clean snapshot, arguing blocked shots are where the league’s bruises become impossible to ignore. It leans into the idea that modern shot blocking is less about dramatic dives and more about reads, lane timing, and surviving the grind with smart gear.
It explains why a fixed checkpoint matters, then cites the freeze frame at the top: Colton Parayko leads with 140 blocked shots in 57 games, with Noah Dobson right behind at 139 in 57. The list also highlights how games played changes everything, because nobody blocks shots from the press box.
The top ten section turns each player into a quick case study, with names like Moritz Seider and Jake McCabe near the top and Ben Chiarot anchoring the back end. The FAQ layer adds historical context by naming Kris Russell’s 283 in 2014 15 as the single season record hanging over every modern leaderboard.
