The end for today. It's a bit slow going, but it is going. @everythingcanadian
“Maybe a little bit closer, if you- if you don’t mind,” Greg says hesitantly but his body is already turning in Sherlock’s direction. Something Sherlock picks up on because he shifts closer, their arms touching, and Sherlock places his hand on Greg’s thigh this time, spreading his fingers wide. It’s like a mark on his skin, warming him up. There’s an instant relief in his body, some of his joints and muscles relaxing, and Greg purrs.
“You-” Sherlock stops, biting the inside of his cheek when he sees the pleased expression on Lestrade’s face. His thumb strokes Lestrade’s thigh, taking a breath in and out, and he hears Lestrade do the same.
Sherlock doesn’t comment but does squeeze Greg’s thigh, and it sends a warmth through him that seems to want to settle in his groin. Having sex would also temper his beginning pains, but that’s probably too much to ask. He’s never even heard Sherlock mention anything about a partner or a relationship, and they’ve known each other now almost 3 years. You’d think in that amount of time it would have come up. Most Alphas can’t stop bragging about their conquests and how amazing they are in bed.
Then again, Sherlock is not most Alphas. It's the reason Greg likes him so much in the first place.
“You’re obsessed with tea. Why?”
“I am not obsessed with tea.” Sherlock huffs, seeing Lestrade roll his eyes at him fondly. he shrugs a shoulder, looking at the coffee table.
“Mom always says that any bad situation can be a bit better with a good cup of tea. And well, you are hurting so-”
“That’s sweet of you, Sherlock. Yes. I would like some tea.” Greg says, smiling, when Sherlock is up instantly to make it. It settles something in Greg’s core again, seeing Sherlock eager to help soothe him. To take care of him. Like an Alpha does for his Omega.
Stop it! Stop your silly daydreams.
“Here you go. Careful it’s-” Sherlock stops, a beginning grin on his lips, and Greg is the one huffing now, even pouting a tiny bit.
“Don’t want you burning yourself again, that’s all, Omega. How are your fingers?” Sherlock asks, gently taking the burned hand and examining them.
“It’s okay. It will heal soon. Look, I can still move them all.” Lestrade says, flipping Sherlock the bird, and Sherlock laughs. Somehow, Lestrade is always able to make him laugh, to see the brighter sides of life, and not take everything so seriously.
