Book 35 of 2026
Book 1 of my summer project.
This book was amazing! There are so many facts and things I will remember. How 1 million years is basically nothing in terms of evolution. How much patience you must have as a palentologist. How sometimes theories can only be proven long after you are dead. But most of all, how modern birds now are actually real dinosaurs. They didn't just evolve out of them, they are now placed in the same brance as dinosaurs and that is so exciting!
This book was a great start for my summer project, thought it did take me a while longer to finish it then planned, but that is okay. I have time to read the other books on my list (and that list has grown, right now I am doing dinosaurs but in winter I want to read about the first oceans, the first sharks, whales, etc.....) This is all so fascinating!
