A omega who hates omegas
///Here’s the full fic centering on Omega!Endeavor and a little bit of Omega!Mic. It ended up mostly being Endeavor reflecting on his perspective of Omegas
It was something decided since birth, and Endeavor absolutely hated it. Of all things, why had he-? Now, the number one hero have to be a Omega? He would have rather be a boring and dull Beta, than something as pathetic as a Omega. “Omega’s aren’t hero material” he’d heard a couple of times in his youth. Even though he was made to be a hero!? There had to have been a mistake, for him, the number one hero, Endeavor to be a... a Omega. Omegas were the symbol of everything he hated. They were weak! “Girly”! “Pathetic”. He wasn’t any of that. He would never let himself be.
That’s what he thought. It’d always been drilled into his head that being a omega was wrong. That Omega were lesser. This was a old idea, but one that had stuck to him. So he thought if he had been stuck with a body like this then maybe he could refuse to be a Omega all together. He drowned himself in surpressents till he couldn’t handle anymore. He married for a quirk with a white haired Beta young lady named Rei. He kept his identity hidden and used anything he could to climb up. He went through many means to ensure that no one would know and that his wife, though in paper only, would carry his child, and that child would be perfect. It didn’t matter how many times he tried.
It took 4 times. His first child though nearly perfect, had enherited his wife’s weak constitution which made his quirk harmful to his own body, and more than anything the child had failed. He had presented as a Omega, nesting at the age of 7. The next two times he still couldn’t get it right, neither a quirk nor a dynamic. Though better than omega they had only been Beta. But his last, oh his last was perfect. Shoto Todoroki, his ultimate masterpiece, his quirk was powerful, it would surpress All Might, and more than anything he thrived in having finally a Alpha son.
But of course nothing worked as he pleased. He’d been cursed since he was born as a Omega. Or that was what he told himself. Things happened, his first son had disappeared, presumed dead. His wife had a bit of a- issue, and injured his precious masterpiece. And finally his perfect son had started to become rebellious. But he climbed to become number one hero, although not in his preferred manner. All the way through the path with ideas stuck in his head, ideas that said Omega were anything but good, only baby making machines.
The truth be told it’s not like he particularly wanted to be a Alpha. I mean he did but because Alphas were in the top of the hierarchy and nothing more. Not once had he the opportunity to see Omega in a good light. Not until then.
That day he’d finally broken down. Years of surpressing and neglecting his heat, of pushing away his Omega nature came crashing down on him. That day he did something he would never do. He sought help. Luckily the nearest help was likely the most useful. Present Mic. He’d never really talked to the man, not really, all he knew was that he was a successful hero and careersman. But also that he was a Omega, which contradicted everything he believed in.
Though, well he supposed in the end so was he, and he was made painfully aware of that at that moment. Present Mic however was more than willing to help, he bought him to his house and helped him override his heat, It wasn’t really a big deal, he just gave him a space, and comforting one so he could get through it. Mic recommended he changed his surpressents and even if not often to have some physical contact which would help alleviate tension. They had even in a moment of surprise made a omega pile together.
Strangely enough Endeavor felt extremely grateful. He was about to head home, when Mic offered if he would like to eat. Endeavor politely declined and of course his stupid mouth couldn’t keep itself closed. It all happened in a rush. His uncommonly large hand for a Omega lay on Mic’s doornob and it was as if everything came spilling out. All the stereotypes possible, all the insults, every different way of talking shit about Omegas came out of his now untense and soft lips. Though they very quickly tensed up again. Amidst his little rant he was blind to notice as Mic’s expression slowly darkened. And suddenly in the middle of a sentence he was spooked to hear a loud bang resulting from Mic putting his hand down in the counter a bit too forcefully. “I see”, he heard Mic say, voice clear and loud, you’d think he was using his quirk. “Since you don’t need my help anymore, then there’s no need for you to associate with a omega any longer”. When Endeavor looked back Mic was a lot closer than he was before, he’s sure and he lightly tapped Endeavor’s back as the door opened. His expression solemn, though his mouth was smiling and his emerald eyes almost sad. “Great work out there”, was the last thing he heard as Mic put on his hero voice. Being pushed away Endeavor took a moment of shock as to figure what had just happened and then he continued his way. Mic’s expression heavy on his mind. Endeavor’s heart quickly sank at the thought of it, but he wasn’t sure what it meant. Although he was sure he wanted to never talk to Mic again if it meant keeping that expression away from his face.
But now he was but left wondering of many things. After all he’d just spend his weekend with a delightful Omega. Which delightful and omega were normally not two words he often put next to each other. But maybe he was wrong after all?! Maybe he’d just believed in the wrong truth? And maybe Omega’s were strong people? Strong people like him- and like Mic... Maybe there was nothing shameful about being a Omega!?
///Might make something more on what happens after but mostly as bullet points and headcanons. I just wanted to write out Omega!Endeavor’s thoughts a bit here
