charles saw it one time while scrolling twitter and has been dead set on witnessing it ever since. he initially picked max to ask because max, as pack second, is usually more willing to put up with insane shit in the name of pack cohesion. so yes he just wanted to see alpha on alpha but also he thought it would be really hot with max specifically. (somehow, he'd managed to sexualize max's position as pack second- like oh he's so dedicated to the pack he'd let lewis fuck him even though it's against his nature kind of thing.)
granted, he still thinks it's really hot when max is also an omega, and they do heatshare fairly frequently! but he's mildly cranky that this means max did sleep with lewis while they were both alphas, multiple times, and he didn't get to see it even once. he complains about it for a while.
max is dedicated to the pack. pack alpha and pack second was also interesting to think about here, because by virtue of all of them being famous, "pack alpha" comes with a lot of additional responsibilities that aren't even directly about the pack- media, interviews, paperwork, all these things that max doesn't want to do. so lewis is the end all be all of pack decisions, the pack alpha, but max is doing a fair amount of the smaller, more frequent emotional labor. in return, he doesn't have to do press for the pack. (yay!) but yes, he loves the pack and would do absolutely anything for them, he's just not super great at realizing they feel the same way about him in return.
yeah he got scared and went straight to daniel, because when he was a new pup on the grid he wasn't entirely welcomed by the pack- but he was by red bull, and by daniel, so when he's struggling with something that has to do with the pack, he's going to go to his safe space! and unbeknownst to him at the time, he's also entering preheat, so some of those unfamiliar omega hormones also influence that decision. (daniel realizes it's preheat when he walks in the door, but he also recognizes max is extremely on edge, which is why he just goes with it and calls lewis later)

How come betas can’t be priests in your version of the omegaverse?
For realsies this time.
Omegaverse as a fanfiction genre is typically very focused on alpha-omega pairs as the basis of social structure. My version of it is sort of a commentary on the genre, with common tropes forming prominent beliefs in-universe.
If alphas and omegas are seen as the most important (though importance doesn't necessarily translate to power in case of omegas), then it stands to reason that society would value traits associated with these dynamics, especially with alphas, more. And what are the main traits associated with alphas and omegas, but not betas? Pure horny, of course, but also just extreme emotions in general. So in my mind, main omegaverse culture would value strong emotions as pure, natural, and honest, while people with seemingly duller emotions and emotional displays (stereotypical of betas) would be seen as the opposite - shifty and overly materialistic. It's a rather Dionysian culture, at least in its "traditional" form.
Divinity and spiritual wisdom would be thought of as something that you can only learn about in mysterious, instinctual ways, considered unavailable to materialistic, unspiritual betas. This would be reflected in the myths and the (interpretations of) main religious texts. For example, in creation myths, betas might be flawed versions of other dynamics, or only born from the first alpha and omega instead of being shaped directly by deities. Beta religious figures might have their dynamic be stereotyped, erased, or considered a metaphor (since "beta" is also used to mean "best friend" or "second-in-command" in many Omegaverse languages). Some sects even believe that betas would not be allowed into the same afterlife as alphas and omegas. In alchemical and spiritual practices betas might be associated with concepts like elemental earth, chemical non-reactivity (as they are both the least affected by sex pheromones and the least fertile), salt, neutrality, relationship with the material world (as opposed to the social or spiritual one) and the body.
Other than the "unspiritual" stereotype, there's also the fact that betas are considered natural sidekicks, which doesn't encourage putting them in leadership positions in mixed-dynamic groups. With these facts combined, it's no wonder many religions would ban them from priesthood, consigning them to secular acolite positions.
Omegas would similarly be considered unsuited for leadership, but without the "unspiritual" stereotype (quite the opposite, actually) they could fill out the wise hermit/oracle/nun niche quite nicely. I also imagine that bans on omega priesthood would be lifted sooner and in more denominations, as omegas' higher admission into religious life would motivate them to expand their rights within it, while betas would be more likely to walk away from it entirely.
Does alpha Steve ever get teased or mocked or “congratulated” over having two omegas? I feel like in certain universes that could be a sign of him “needing” two because he’s so virile, or being greedy or something. But maybe it’s also a sign he’s such a good provider because he can take care of another person? I wonder if the comments bother him, or if other people are respectful about his relationship.
In this universe, it's normal for people to have more than one partner and having a monogamous relationship is common as well.
There are beta packs, packs with multiple alphas. Some have more than one omega, or even a combination of alphas, betas, and omegas. Not all relationships within a pack are romantic either.
The size of packs depends on the individuals, their dynamics, and their needs.
So people wouldn't make any comments about it and they definitely wouldn't make fun of him. Plus most people wouldn't want to upset a strong, capable Alpha like Steve.

Okay so lets get into this. I didn’t want to choose obviously water themed Gang Orca or Selkie because both are typically cold weather aquatics and you give me like Bahamas vibes. After looking through different characters and considering pro’s and con’s for like thirty minutes, I think I found a good one.

Smart, serious, diligent Hiryu. Quick on his feet and knows how and when it’s appropriate to take charge. My dude is calm in demeanor and focused in battle and could totally protect any omega he mated with. I think he would do well with someone who could match his clam demeanor but also knew how to relax and have fun and could coax that relaxed state out of him as well, and judging by your scent I feel like that’s you.
His scent would likely compliment your’s in an interesting way, likely smelling heavily like the salt and the common spices that China his homeland is known for. A little bit spicey, ginger mixed with chili for sure but also fresh green onions. But there is also undertones of smoked salmon, and seared tuna (or grilled chicken if you hate seafood). He honestly smells like a delicious fresh meal and when you add in your ocean coconut scent the two of you smell absolutely like a tropical vacation. His scent isn’t as heavy and musky as some of the other alphas you know, but it definitely isn’t weak. When he gets closer to his rut, it’s like someone simmered all of that delicious food in a nice rich wine and you could positively get drunk on it.
Do you think changing rooms and bathrooms are segregated as “alpha” “beta” “omega” or do you think they will be all together? I have seen lots of places just have everything all together. Would omegas feel comfortable changing with stranger Alphas around?
Hey! So everyone’s omegaverse is different, but for me at least places tend to be all together. It would probably be too difficult for store owners and schools to keep things separated by alpha beta and omega. The only time I would think they would be separated would be if one of the dynamics is in danger if near the others.
I would say that omegas and maybe even betas will feel some sort of discomfort or fear of being in such a vulnerable position around the stronger dynamic. One place I think of that is all together but the dynamics may be uncomfortable is a school locker room especially around the time that the teens begin their first heats and ruts.
