It's Back! The OMGCP 12 Days of Ficmas

Welcome to the 12 Days of Ficmas!  This is a low-pressure, choose-your-own-adventure-style fandom event celebrating Check, Please and its content creators.

There is no fic minimum!  While holiday-themed works are encouraged, they are not required.  What we’re stressing is a fun event that anyone can participate in.

If you don’t write or create artwork, you can still participate! Share your favorite Check, Please fics in a fic rec post, create a playlist, make a post about your Check, Please holiday head canons.  The event’s goal is to share transformative works, inspire creativity, and show appreciation for our community and all things Check, Please.

Writers and artists may choose from our prompt list (it's the same one as last year) or come up with one of their own.

There’s no first-come, first-serve, simply choose your prompt and create! Post your creation anytime between December 24, 2021 and January 6, 2022 using the hashtag #omgcp12days so we can reblog on the official 12 Days of Ficmas Tumblr.

Summary:

but with Ransom, Holster, and Lardo all graduating next spring, it's not like he's about to pass up the opportunity to spend more time with his friends before everything changes.

What he doesn't know is that change may be coming sooner than expected, and that isn't always a bad thing.

Here is my second submission to the 12 days of fic mas event hosted by @12daysofficmas We have a post grad Lardo taking a break from painting a big ass commissioned canvas. I also made another playlist for when she’s painting, drawing, or brainstorming her art. Basically a playlist for when she wants to turn off Hockey Men and Beer Pong in her brain and turn on color theory, composition, and general art chaos. 12 days of ficmas is here!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!! I hope everyone had a wonderful and  safe Christmas day! This year, at the last minute, I decided to participate in in 12 days of ficmas hosted by @12daysofficmas​ . Today a made a lil fan art of the lovely Denise “Foxtrot” Ford as well as a  playlist inspired by when she's preparing to wrangle the team, juggle schedules, and/or planning a kegster. This is basically her 'get in the zone' music. I think miss Ford would need bad bitch music to accompany her organizing her 30 spread sheets. 12 Days of Ficmas Prompts

Welcome to the Check, Please 12 Days of Ficmas! If you’re interested in creating a fanwork for this event and are feeling a little low on inspiration, we have prompts for you! 

There is no formal claims process for this event. If you’re feeling inspired by one of these prompts, you’re welcome to use it. You don’t have to let us know which one you’ve claimed, what type of fan work you plan to create, or when you’re going to post. Just plan to post your creation between December 24 and January 6 with the tag #omgcp12days so we can reblog here. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you here as the date approaches, so be sure to follow us.  And remember, this is a low stress low key event.  There is no word minimum for fics.  We just want you to have fun and celebrate the Check, Please fandom!

Headcanons, Fic Recs, and Mood Boards! Oh My!

Want to participate in the Check, Please 12 Days of Ficmas, but don’t write or make fan art? That’s totally fine! At the end of what has been a difficult year for many of us, we want to celebrate this fandom and all of its fans! Here are some additional ways to get involved:

Make a fic rec list. A lot of fans have more time to read during the holidays, and recs from friends are always a great place to start.

Create a playlist or mood board for a favorite Check, Please! character, storyline, or fic.

Get the discussion started! Share your favorite Check, Please! headcanons or meta commentary in a Tumblr post. Do you have a rare pair that you love? Strong opinions on Bad Bob’s early career? A detailed Zimbits wedding headcanon? Tell us about them!
