When Gai and Reni were still together, Reni was the only person in Gai’s house that actually made sense. Madara finds her great company.

Still hasn’t forgiven her for slamming the door into his face. Even if it was by accident.

He helps her sometimes, going to the market or the grocery, and this flusters the woman, but Madara always waves away the thanks, saying it’s an excuse to keep moving.

When Madara regained his residence, he told Reni she was always welcome to his home.

Definitely. When he’d been young, anything sweet was considered a luxury, as sugar was expensive, and so was chocolate and nuts - food for the daimyo himself. When the village stabilized, these goods (including butter, fine powdered sugar) were suddenly made available to shinobi and the ordinary folk, and Madara discovered he enjoys pastries, but especially cookies. His all time favorite is chocolate chip cookies.
