The expectation wasn't there, though he should have known better than to believe stability was ever in the equation. He wasn't at Gotham's Museum of Antiquities for a break in-- yet, but due to a lead on the case of a serial killer that slashes his victims throats, and cleans out what's left behind. A curator had been missing for two days now, and the Bat was here to collect evidence of where she might have gone.

A break in wasn't what he was expecting, but he had spent the first few moments just watching her, seeing what she was planning.

The thud when he reveals himself should be enough to catch her attention, landing only a few feet behind her. Eyes down the woman, fully cloaked in black, stoic expression kept as he stands and straightens his form.
