Rare was it that they met, these days.

Not in formal meetings. The Seer held an important position, enough so that Emperor Sorean kept him close during gatherings of his advisors. Those were too official, and Kallian could never speak word of their private conversations there. Nor did he meet the Seer in corners of the palace, or hallway alcoves, or any other place where two people might pause to speak discreetly. They did not meet at all.

And that’s what was strange. Before Alvis left for Valak Mountain, and his ritual, he and Kallian had met often. Not often in the sense of weeks, but months, maybe. It was enough that Kallian would call Alvis his friend.

He was starting to think that Alvis didn’t feel the same. Months passed, and Alvis had yet to say a word to Kallian outside of those meetings with the emperor present.

“Seer,” Kallian greeted him. This time, it was as they met on the balcony. One coming, one leaving. Alvis would pass him by, and it would be as if they were passing acquaintances.

...Kallian hesitated, blocking Alvis’s path. He had to know. “Alvis... may I call you that...?”

technically its not that it cant cut ppl/humans, its that it cant cut ‘people of the bionis’ (key word being people bc it can obviously harm monsters and such) so homs nopons and high entia. the ppl in smash arent from bionis so hack away

(Yeah, now that you mention that, it probably only applies to the people of Bionis, so they can’t get hurt from the Monado. It’s odd that the very thought never crossed my mind, not until the release date of Xenoblade Definitive Edition. :O

And yet, I’ve known about Xenoblade since watching Chuggaaconroy’s LPs and Shulk is one of my mains in Smash Bros.)
