The Eternal Cylinder (c) ACE Team
What if Omnogroms were part of a larger taxonomic family of hinge-bodied carnivores? Maybe there were crocodile-like aquatic ambush hunters or smaller and faster runners, but post-Cylinder the only surviving species of the Omnogromidae is the genus Stomatotherium with two species
That could very likely be the case! The faster ones might have been the predators of the Hophopop (who also could theoretically be part of this grouping).
I personally think that they’re members of a family with the Sklaa and Vooshlop that have a mouth so hypertrophied that it takes up almost all of their body, and that there’s vestiges of their torso and various vital organs in the joint between their lobes.
