NSC leader Pieter Omtzigt has told reporters he is prepared to support a right-wing cabinet made up of the PVV, VVD and BBB from the sidelines, if an agreement can be worked out which he can commit to. However, Omtzigt said again after Wednesday’s coalition formation talks with Kim Putters, his party will not join a majority or a minority cabinet as a partner if it involves the far-right PVV. He did not go into details about which conditions he would require to support a cabinet including the PVV. “This is all I am prepared to say, and I have thought long and hard about it,” he told reporters.

Before the election, Omtzigt said he wouldn't enter a coalition with the PVV, but after actually entered talks with the far-right PVV and right-wing parties, VVD and BBB. Then he quit, muttering something about the government finances the incoming government would inherit, with justification, but the fact is he actually joined the talks which means some of his policies chime with those of the PVV, that is to say Geert Wilders since he is the only member of the PVV. Those policies are not the most extreme policies of the PVV because Wilders took those off the table to be able to form a government in the first place, but still.
A government could easily be formed without the PVV but with the second-biggest party, but it appears that GroenLink-PvdA (Green Socialists) has taken the position that the PVV formerly held, where everybody wants to keep them out of government. Where once they said they'd never go into government with the far-right, now they won't do so with those on the left of the political spectrum.
